im bored, so i check almost 15 profiles in the igors list, and i found 10 NOA2 approved, so a lot of people never come back and update the timelines (toughtless person), a little extra hope for us, couse apparently 20 vjs are done all ready.... and i hate weekends too, this mean 4 days to see any movement in CSC.............

LOL thats right it is heading to summer there (doh on my part) Kai said in Newcastle Au it was very warm as well. I told him SHHHH its FREEZING HERE!!! BRRRR Snow will be here soon. He loves the snow SO am taking pictures of it and put his name in it, HOWEVER I cant get the dog to pee his name in the snow..>HMMMMMM JUST KIDDING!!

yes the sun was out but now it is very overcast and extremely windy where i am! I think the sun coming out was a ploy to get everyone out of bed lol!

Sundays are pretty blah day for me. Cleaning house etc....

(I have a question about the ssn when one gets to the US. Mainly for the female non USC)

I understand that it's best to generally wait 2 weeks after arrival to be able to get one to let uscis put your information into the system. But does it pay to wait to get ssn until after married and then apply (so that you have your married name put on there straight away) or is it better to do it after two weeks of arrival and then go back and change it again with married name? I just wonder what would be easier method for ssn office and less confusing for them. (as you want to make it as simple as possible for them)

anyway, was just wondering about that....

Well If you get married you are required in some states to get your SSN...

I would just get it before and then change it afterward, this way no hassles at the marriage license dept

Things are quiet here, too. Just waiting for next month so I can finally visit the UK! We've made arrangements to have engagement photos taken in London and Oxford so today I bought a pretty gown for the occasion. We also booked a trip to Stonehenge while I'm there. December 27th can't come soon enough...

your correct most states requir a social security number before they will issue a marriage license. The safest thing is to get the SSN before trying to get the license. Here in Tennesse they passed a law that if you dont get marriage counseling before you get the marriage licnse the cost of the license is a lot more. Well good luck July filers

Yeah, we're really excited. I was there for nearly a whole year and that's the one place on my list I just never made it to.

About this SSN business, our situation is a little complicated. Sebastian lived in the states while he was a kid, his dad had a work visa here for 5 years, and for whatever reason they gave him a SSN. We've done a little research and it looks like they only offered the dependents of people on that particular visa social security numbers in the state of California, and they've since stopped this practice.

I don't know if he still has the card or not, but should I assume he's safely in the system and we get to skip that step? I'm sure I'll call them anyhow, it's just a weird set of circumstances.

The worst part of that story? Sebastian's parents gave birth to his younger sister while they were in the states. He lived here for 5 years (ages 8-13...really important growth and development years), very much identifies himself as part American, and his sister who lived here for a few months has an American passport and could move here at a whim if she wanted to.

This process sucks!!! Everything seems to be going so slow right now and i hate it. I miss my love sooo much. I am hating every moment of this...it gets worse and worse. i am miserable every day and i want to MOVE OUT OF THIS HOUSE. things just cannot get any worse right now well im sure they could but dammit im sick of dealing with all of this ####### that keeps coming my way. I want Johny back here, that alone will help dramatically.

he also had his ssn and he only left back in june so i am always wondering what he has to do if he has to reapply or what i have no idea i wonder if there is a number i can call to find out. and i am still wondering about the whole temporary workers visa thing if he has to ask for it or if they automatically will give it to him or what because we really need him to be working cuz things are really hard right now....and i want to get married in VEGAS! But unless someone offers to pay for it, its not going to happen i would rather us have money to make a nice home for us...

so if anyone knows anything about the workers visa or the ssn i would take any advice and im pretty sure i asked before but im asking again...hehe
