Just saw on Igor's list that somebody just got approved and they were like me : end of july !!!

:wow: I just saw it too! Let's hope July is in the mix now and we'll start seeing more of these next week!

Yeah, except their sent date was the end of June. :P You'll notice that there's a 2 week gap of noa-1's in July where there were none around here on VJ...

Yeah, I think the 129F sent/recieved date is the more important date to track as what I have noticed... the NOA1 seems to be when they finally got around to mailing it out and we are victims of the July 4th holiday weekend where everything slowed or stopped, then they sent masses of NOA1's out to all of us at once. I just imagine as these packages were received, they were tagged and stacked in boxes in order of being received, I could be wrong but I believe that is how it happens, then they send the NOAs out. In any case... WE ARE REALLY CLOSE!!!!:dance::dance:

I have no idea what exactly the process is, but it should be getting close either way. I sent mine on 7/2, it got there on 7/5 (which was Saturday), so, I think they physically had it in their possession on 7/7. Anyway, if I get mine in two weeks, you won't hear me complaining. :) I just hope there will be no RFEs! :o

I'll be sure to say if anyone glances at the file, you know the one, propping up the wobbly table leg....

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Ya I don't have anything planned for our marriage...we are both broke and have no money so looks like it is going to be a town hall wedding for now and then when we have money go to vegas like we want to and renew our vows....it hate it it sucks i would love to go to vegas in march or feb whenever he comes back and get married there but we just cant at this point in time. I have to save what money I do have for our apartment when we get one because I wont be working come next summer because I have 40/week clinicals for school five days a week. I wish i knew more about how is working permit and stuff works i told him that he should ask the embassy to give him a stamp on his visa for a temporary one but I dont know if they will do it. He was educated in the united states so i think he should get one but i guess you never know....

well i hope they find the bad table and get us off of it....im sick of waiting...

so how long after we get approved does everyone think their loved ones will be home with us? visa in hand...

I think the current time from consulate receiving to interview , according to the VJ stats, is about 57 days plus the time for the petition to go to NVC etc so I reckon 8-10 weeks after NOA2 and we should be good to go.

I guess some consulates will process faster tho.......

My packet 3 is already to send back so as soon as I get mine in the post I can go straght out and post mine back overnight..... not that I'm impatient  BUT I WANNA GO HOME!!!! :P

Ya I think haiti moves pretty fast or at least it has in the past....so ya im def thinking like feb he will be home and i cannot wait...i miss my love...

OKay a couple of questions...umm where do i get the packet 3 so my fiance can fill it out....haiti from what i read has a packet 3.5 too and not a packet 4....the packet 3.5 is like a pre-interview to make the real interview go smoothly and it makes sure u have everything ready for the interview ...it is pretty cool...and holy heck how much money does it cost to adjust status oncce we get married?

I've had my dress for a few weeks, managed to refrain from trying it on every day!!

We've got the reception venue, just worried about setting a firm date (21st March) in case the visa's not through by then!

Do you have a date in mind?

We don't. We decided to have a fancy elopement with just us at a nearby mansion because it's too much of a nightmare trying to figure out how to fly everyone here from the UK on such short notice. Not to mention, most places require deposits to save the date and we're just not willing to risk it. We want to get married ASAP once he's here. The sooner we're married, the sooner he gets his work authorization! So we're having an indulgent elopement (hopefully in March or April) and a big party in the U.S. and a big party in the U.K. within the next year.

I'm really excited about eloping! I'm still wearing the white dress, ordering flowers and we're having a personalized mini cake made. And we're having an amazing professional photographer. We're writing our own vows and he's writing a song for me to walk down the aisle to. And we can do it all on a moment's notice since the mansion we've decided on (www.buhlmansion.com) offers an elopement package!

What about you? What are you guys cooking up?

Sounds like a fantastic plan, we've been ummmming and ahhhing for so long now about booking somewhere but keep stumbling across the same problems as you do, ie getting friends and family together at short notice.

I think we've pretty much decided to get married as soon as we get the license, 3 days in Florida and then we'll have a small beach wedding with us and the kids and hopefully Shan's mom will come (if she's not too upset she cant marry me- see previous postsand you see what I mean lol !!!!).

What we have talked about is getting all our friends and family together in March 2010 our 2 year anniversary for a renewal of vows and a BIG PARTAAAAAAAAAAAY! :jest:
