We are going the right way as well, at least on Igor's list. The timeline keeps moving on in the wrong direction though..back to December

We have the same noa1 date...maybe we will get to go off the list together :star:

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

It must be country specific or something. We're moving the right direction on both lists, Igor's and Timeline.

No SO for the holidays, but I have some family close by so I'm not totally SOL.

Hope everybody is doin' alright.

NOA 2. Really?

Does anybody know for sure what the deal with vaccinations is??? I found this document at American Embassy's in Russia website and now I'm completely confused. Sounds to me like they are not required for K visa beneficiaries.

http://moscow.usembassy.gov/root/pdfs/medexam.pdf

Then again on this page they say that everybody needs them...

http://moscow.usembassy.gov/vaccinations.html

Bizarre. :wow:

I'm pretty sure that you're required them at the K stage. But I know you're required to have them to adjust status. So you might as well get them done either way.

Thanks. You are probably right. Maybe we should call one of the clinics and ask them. Anyway, I'm just glad it's not me who is getting the shots. JK, of course, I would happily take one for my baby here if I could. (L)

They usually do them at the medical if you're missing any. They go over the vaccination form as part of the medical. You can't typically do the medical before your NOA2 stuff reaches the embassy, from what I read. Something about needing your case number. Then there's a vaccination supplement at AOS. At least that's my understanding of everything I've poured over on VJ.

If you haven't, you should read the VJ guide for your particular consulate (Embassy Info at the top). They're really handy and will tell you the ins and outs of your particular place. Find out if there's a packet 3 and checklist. That would tell you what documents to gather and what you'll need to do before your interview.

Oh, I hang out at the Embassy's site all the time. I know what paperwork they need, but it's a bit confusing when it comes to vaccinations. I think you have to show them papers that you got them done, otherwise they have to needle you. :o Giving clinic a call to see how exactly they handle it is not going to hurt.

More like long 6+ months with multiple issues along the way.

I'm getting somewhat concerned we will not be able to get our approvals in November. We are moving in the right direction on Igor's list, but the last batch of approvals is a mix of end of May and end of June filers. I thought they were finishing up with June people and July would follow, but now I don't even know what to think. :(

And those of you whose SOs speak fluent English are very lucky as they won't have to deal with a language barrier. Unfortunately, not the case with us.

June still has a while to go yet. Were currently processing people in the high teens / low twenties. I'd expect about 1 - 2 more weeks till you see the bulk of june finished in California. A good guess for when you might be approved is to look at the number of days since your NOA 1. Most of the applications being approved from Cal right now are in the 130 - 140 date range. So its currently a little over 4 months wait for the average (not unlucky) cases.

Holidays :)

Right now I'm at work dressed as Strawberry Shortcake but I have no plans for tonight. It's raining outside. I'll be spending Thanksgiving with my SO in Washington DC and NYC. My family is a little annoyed because I always go away for Thanksgiving to spend time with my honey. Christmas will be with my family. I'm looking forward to next year's holiday season - all of them with my SO.

I know that some of us have been a little down about the wait but I'm actually in good spirits. October is over. We'll see alot of movement in November and December. My SO and I were just talking about how we need to start getting our paperwork together. We were kinda on cruise control for the past few months. Back in action!

Well, my timeline says November 17-23, so what's that estimate based on? As I mentioned before, once they get to July, all of us should, hopefully, get our NOA2s rather quickly because there were very few NOA1s issued in the beginning and end of July. Most of them are the end of July.
