If you pay attention to the stats page too (CSC stats), you'll notice the number of approvals in past weeks continues to rise. In other words, people are just slow pokes at updating their timelines to show their NOA2's. When they do, it will take them off of Igor's list. And it will change the approximated timeline you're given.

My advice is just to use those tools as a general gauge of movement rather than for specifics. The timelines jump around daily sometimes, and your number on Igor's really doesn't reflect too much since people get approved while at all different places on the list.

I hope everyone has a happy halloween. Mine's going to be B-O-R-I-N-G. *sigh*

Is anyone else stuck by themselves for the upcoming holidays? My SO and I can't afford another flight, nor can I afford one to visit my family. Just wondering who else is in this sinking boat with me.

I will be by myself as well for all of the holidays. My baby will be visiting me from Japan on January 19th. I am nervous a little about it because we've applied for k1 already in July, but she does live in a Visa Waiver Country so i really hope this helps her at the POE. I just told her to say that she's visiting friends from her past J1 visa here.

Also on my own for the holidays...too expensive to go back and forth. I am miles from anywhere..

Worse still...working the holidays again this year. Last Christmas we didn't even have time for dinner, holiday or otherwise. :(

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Well, maybe this sounds funny, but I wish I had work to do to keep my mind off of it. This town empties out over the holidays, and I'll be on winter break (man, it's weird being a college student again). So it's lonely-ville for me for ~month. This isn't a town that they hire extra people for holiday seasons. I wish I had work to keep my mind off of it. My intern job & art studios are the only thing preventing me from losing my mind right now!

Don't you wish someone would invent a teleporter already?

Does anybody know for sure what the deal with vaccinations is??? I found this document at American Embassy's in Russia website and now I'm completely confused. Sounds to me like they are not required for K visa beneficiaries.

http://moscow.usembassy.gov/root/pdfs/medexam.pdf

Then again on this page they say that everybody needs them...

http://moscow.usembassy.gov/vaccinations.html

Bizarre. :wow:

I'm pretty sure that you're required them at the K stage. But I know you're required to have them to adjust status. So you might as well get them done either way.
