I went to check status on uscis site and when i signed in, it said that my password would expire in 14 days and would i like to do a new one now or later.

I just wondered if this is normal practice at their site? There were no new touches btw.

yes this is normal. they must be changed every 3 months. i just changed my password yesterday.

So what should my fiance do or what is the process in asking for a police report?

It varies by country. The embassy for Frankfurt had a link detailing how to obtain a police certificate. Perhaps the embassy for Haiti does, too. Either way, if you haven't checked into your country's specific requirements yet, you should do that now.

Here's VJ's info on Haiti:

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...=Port-au-Prince

Thanks for that info!! Now it didnt say anything there about police reports. and it sounded as if was for a I-130 and not a fiance via...or do they all work the same!?

You're correct, but it doesn't list the contents of packet 3, from what I could tell. It doesn't on P.A.P.'s embassy website, either. You might inquire via PM to some people who did this process already (Procressing Timelines -> Similiar Timelines to Me or Timeline Search) to ask what packet 3 specifically contains.

The embassy website, btw, I found at: http://haiti.usembassy.gov/fiance_visas.html. You can always e-mail them if you don't get your answer on VJ.

Maybe I'm being a total idiot about this police report thing, but what are the criteria for needing one? My fiance lived in Australia for more than 6 months but less than a year. Is he required to have one? The embassy website makes it seem as though he doesn't but I just want to be a million percent sure. Thanks!

As cdneh said, if it's under a year a police check is not normally required and on the UK embassy site it says so too. I'm not sure if you can email your UK embassy at all (here in NZ the embassy is very helpful and answers emails immediately) but they would definitely be able to tell you what the criteria is for police checks.
