Wow, what a bunch of babies. I have never seen a group of "grown ups" who feel they have a right to citizenship in another country complain about that country so much. I've been waiting a long time for my K-1 too and I come to VJ to gain insight into the process and have learned a great deal from those who have been through this and can answer questions. But this thread has degenerated into nothing more than complaining about how terrible the USA is for placing a premium on citizenship in that country. Let me ask you. Once you get to the USA and begin enjoying all the benefits of citizenship there, do you want the USA to hand out visas like candy? Grow up people! Your prospective citizenship in the US is a privilege - it is NOT a right!

Believe it or not, there is a rational justification for the US to make this a little more than a walk in the park. You guys are complaining about 75 days and no touch!! Are you kidding me? The six to eight months that it takes to gain citizenship in the greatest country on earth is a blink of an eye. Stop complaining that your instant gratification appetites aren't being satisfied over night and start appreciating the fact that you have a chance to live in the USA. Personally, I can't wait to get to the US and I miss my fiance very much. But I know I am going to be there soon. But before I get there, I refuse to have a negative attitude about my new homeland. Chill out people! It's 3 more months! You'll survive, trust me.

Sorry but what you say is ridiculous... We are sad to not be with our loves. US greecard is not the f**king Holy Grail ! It takes times to do some research on people, I agree, but not 4 months ! And if they need time at least they should let the non US citizen visiting the US to be with his/her man/woman WHENEVER she/he wants. I'm french and my country is WAY better than the US, better health cover, better salary, better government help etc... I only want to move to the US to be with my man. So stop to think that US citizenship is something fantastic. All my friends here (in the US) included my fiancé are american, like REAL americans, super patriot and all that sh*t but all of them WITHOUT exception think that the US immigration f**king sucks !

So you should grow up by respecting what people think, we are here on this forum to help each other during this process. If you want to say bad things just go away we won't cry for you. Sorry but I'm tired of those people who give lesson to other ones.

You said : " The six to eight months that it takes to gain citizenship in the greatest country on earth is a blink of an eye"

ARE YOU KIDDING ME, did you ever traveled during your life and saw other countries ? If you think that the US is the best country I'm sure you didn't or you are blind, or maybe stupid ? I just read your post with my fiancé who is a citizen of your favorite country, He laughed and said "what a doosh", and it is what I think too !

Go to play in your fabulous country babyboy, we don't need you here !

And for the other VJs, I love you and I hope that we will have our visas fast to be with our loves, be strong ! Hope that immigration will move its ### !

"Doosh".........French...ah.....what a beautiful lanaguage.....

First of all, this is MY country, and one of the things I appreciate about it is my FREEDOM OF SPEECH. I can say what I wish about my country, and I think I have every right to complain about a broken system.

Second, nobody invited you here to pick on people. We're all here to support each other through a long wait. If you don't like what is being said here, exercise your own right to BUTT OUT.

Third, you should spend more time reading up about this process. K1 has nothing to do with US citizenship. And the long waits have nothing to do with making the process better in any way, shape, or form. The long wait between NOA1 and 2 (approval) is primarily because USCIS doesn't have enough manpower for the job. So, I'm rightfully angry that I'm waiting around while my file is sitting in storage. Don't dare to judge me or my friends here in this thread when you haven't even educated yourself as to what this process is, or bothered to fill in a timeline, or even to read the MANY POSITIVE POSTS IN THIS THREAD.

Finally, if you decide to contribute to this thread, please be respectful of everyone and don't jump to conclusions. We're a supportive group, and everyone has difficult times during our long wait. Some people have been apart a very long time, and it hurts. Be kind, or please don't bother posting here.

100% agree !

Mac SHH..Unless you have something nice to say then close thy trap of a mouth. you dont THINK we know this..that was moronic in thinking! Listen..we miss our loved ones is all AND yes we know it takes time..WE KNOW THIS..BUT we can still miss them and cry..If you have a heart YOU would understand..but no I forgot..TROLLS do not have hearts

Mac is a troll PLAIN and SIMPLE ..a huge douche of a troll..as far as I am concerned If you continue with the snotty rude behavior and are not here to support the others who are waiting for the return OF their loved ones I would advice you to be quiet OR you will be reported and banned.

OKAY to those on here who are supportive..ignore the jerk...he has NO idea what the heck he is saying..all he is ..is a bitter boy who got crapped on somehow and is taking it out on us.

anyway Aubry...i was reading the redflags...and I am hoping that we not being able to see each other physically except that one time will not be one...We do not have the funds to visit as a two ticket from oz is over 2500..

we have HEAPS of evidence though..letters...calls you name it..just only one visit...

I have seen though were people like us only were able to see each one time due to funding...so I should stop stressing

sigh I just miss him MADLY...soon all SOON!!!!

Just like your country, my country has freedom of speech as well. So I think I also have every right to express how you people are (i donot want to be speicific). This is not a private site so unless you can kick me out here, that is fine.

I am neither here to pick on anyone. Gee, I have read all your posts non really is significant but patting each other asses (sorry that harsh but saying "F" online is harsher" ). Its pathetic how you can understand each other's complains but not what the government is trying to do to protect the US citizens from people who are doing this for fraud.

I understand how this process works and I understand that k-1 is non-immigrant visa. Anywez you people just misunderstood what I was trying to point out earlier. So be my guest in pissing yourselves off. Sorry to pissed everyone here. I came on the wrong thread. Okay this would be the last post.

Thank you because maybe WE DO understand..do not THINK we do not..JUST because we do not like our government or what is going on WITH it does not mean we do not understand..if any one does it is US

BUT we are here for one thing and one thing only..to get our loved ones home a support each other while we are down and depressed.

Unless you have been in DEEP love and far away from someone you love YOU will not completely understand...

This would be WISE to take your political issue elsewhere..We would not come to your country or a site with your country on it and preach about what needs to cange...

oh and an FYI when you said this Chill out people! It's 3 more months! You'll survive, trust me. NO you trust me..it is NOT three months longer try longer..there is MORE to the visa then just waiting for the NOA2 so read up before you judge

Thank you

back to supporting!!

If you can't be supportive, and are here in this forum to attack you are right. That will be your last post. You won't be welcome anywere.

I didn't misunderstand your vitriol in any way. You made yourself very plain. And so have we.

Trying :)

We've pretty much got everything done now we can. I am back to morrow to work for a first day shift, so that ought to keep me busy, at least for the 12 hours I'm there.

:D

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

i have just finished talking to my USC fiance on messenger and came to see how my friends were doing here tonight and wow i don't get upset very easily but THAT persons post has really upset and angered me..

How dare you come here and stick your nose in saying we are all babies etc.. why don't YOU grow up!!

Believe me, the non US citizens here on this thread are NOT after a greencard or to have all the benefits that USA has to offer! (whatever those benefits may be). It is all about LOVE and being with someone that you love so much and miss soo much!

And you talk about security!! well, i don't see much of that going on in the past in USA. How many illegal immigrants have been let into the country without so much as a blink of an eye?? is it 12 million?

we know that there are security checks etc that holds the process up but it still doesn't stop us from missing our loved ones and wanting to be with them. we all have good and bad days and its just wonderful to know there are people here that are going through the same thing and can offer SUPPORT.. Something that you obviously know nothing about. :ranting:

whew!! ok... I apologise to my friends here for my outburst. it is VERY rare for me.. but boy! that is just too much!!!

anyway, hope you are all doing well (L)

I think I would go insane if it was not for the web cam or Mic.

I have OFFICIALLY broken the Mic AGAIN...SIGH..so 4 this month already!!

I think tomorrow when I get paid I will buy 5 and use that for our interview!! LOL I think the IRS should also reimburses anyone who has to get a visa and who has broken a million headsets for chatting LOL

HUGE QUESTION!!!

Kai has been sending money through paypal to me to help with our bills. SHOULD I include those copies from paypal showing he has sent me money for that reason???

He is helping me pay for rent and other bills...even though I make enough he feels he needs to pay his part as his name is on the lease.

Thanks all!
