Hello,

Mine left for Vermont on 7/10 and it's suppose to get there 7/14, tomorrow. I am scared and keep checking to see if they sent it early as it's already in Vermont.

I'm going to be a nervous wreck this entire time. It's hard to know someone other than yourself, can rip your world apart, when you know you found the love of your life. I wish process was easier and faster, but not putting our countries security at risk. Good luck to us all.

How did you send your package that you know it's supposed to arrive there on Monday? I mailed mine last Thursday certified mail with electronic return receipt and it still tells me it's not there. I am going to the post office tomorrow to find out what the heck is going on. I mailed a letter to Germany the same day and it arrived in 5 days... how can my package not be in California!? I'm particularly nervous because my fiancé and I have already had 2 letters "lost" in the mail - one from each direction.

Anyone getting their NOA1 yet? I hope you're having more luck than me so far!

Aubrey you should have your NOA1 by now.

The package is processed and the reciept issued in one to two weeks usually.

The whole K1 takes an average of 6-9 month for completion so hang in there and nurture patiences.

You can always call the USCIS and ask them for you're reciept number for your K1. I filed last July 2007 and didn't get a reciept/NOA1 from them so I called them. If your check is cashed the reciept number is stamped on the back of it. You can look at the back of the scanned image online if you have online banking or get a copy from your bank. The reciept number starts with three letter like WAC and then a series of numbers.

Once you have the reciept number then go to the www.uscis.gov, go to case status online, create a profile, plug in your case number and you can track it online from there.

The first time you plug in your reciept number it may not show it in the system but don't panic. It could take a week or two to show up. From there it sits in a dusty pile for several months (about 6) until a case worker reviews it and issues the NOA2. I see you're processing is around Dec. and I would give or take a few weeks. It depends on volume of applicants, ect...

Once the USCIS issues the NOA2 the package is sent to the NVC (National Visa Center). They mail you a letter with a new case number and there is no tracking it online that I know of right now. It can take an average of 1-3 months processing at the NVC. Mine took 4 months before being sent to the Embassy where it is sitting right now.

At the embassy they issue your SO a packet 3. Which you can work on with your SO right now. Another vj member from the same embassy probably has what they requested for packet 3 and you can get it from them and start working on it. In our case the embassy emailed me what they wanted for packet 3.

Once its sent it you get packet 4 and the interview letter. Sometimes the NVC schedules the interview with the embassy for your SO before even recieves packet3. You can track your interview date online at your embassy consulate if you have your NVC case number.

We just filed ours today. But I have a problem regarding the Q18. We haven't met within two years because of his Naturalization process.

Is that considered as extreme hardship for us to meet? FYI we have a son and we've been together for almost 8yrs.

I hope it won't cause any problem.

We mailed ours to VSC on the 5th and it was received on the 7th. Hopefully, we will receive our NOA 1 soon!!!!!!!!!

They received mine on July 5th and still nothing. No notice and the check hasn't been cashed yet. It's driving me absolutely crazy. How come they require us to get all this paperwork together and it takes them this long to acknowledge that they received it? This is absolutely nuts, especially considering whose money pays for their salaries and benefits. We are their employers and they should provide us with their services, not the other way around. 3 years ago I was going through the same process and everything went smoothly (on their end that is). They jack up the application price more than 4 times and the 'quality' of service judt goes to ****! I don't mind paying for the job well done, but this is clearly not the case with USCIS.

So today I have learned that after 30 days, there is a 2nd level of support. If you call USCIS now they just blow you off and say it's impossible to see if your things arrived. So I asked what changes at 30 days and that's it. You can talk to the 2nd level of support. They wouldn't even tell me if my papers were there today, not even a yes or no answer.

You gotta love when rules come first. Is a yes or no too much to ask, it takes 5 seconds...

Well I do not know but it is STUPID. I agree they DID ajack up the prices and I look back at last years visas and most went FAST..this year its like a slug who is half dead is working on the papers.

I am thinking my july filing will get done by dec of 2020 LOL

July Filers, please post if you get NOA-1 anytime soon. I'm still waiting and wanting to find out what's causing the delay.

Trust me, unless it has been 30 days since they received it they aren't gonna do anything for you. I'm guessin' we won't know anything until the first week of August. And that'll probably just be their story for why nobody's stuff is in the system yet.
