The interview went fine. We sat around for over an hour past our scheduled interview time, with almost nobody else left, starting to wonder if we'd been skipped. It lasted 15 minutes and would have been faster if the guy wasn't interrupted by phone calls.

Some questions he asked:

How did we meet?

What is "Guild Wars?" (asked many specifics about how the game operates and such)

When was that?

When did we marry?

Do you have photos of the occasion?

Who are these people in the pictures?

Am I working? Is he working? What did he do in Germany?

Were either of you married before?

Any children?

Did you have any more vaccinations since you entered the U.S./ did he still need any?

Where are you living?

Who lives with you?

Where did he learn to speak English?

Approval, green card in 2-4 weeks. Glad we're done with this #######.

Hi everyone and happy christmas! Congrats to all of you for coming so far on this frustrating visa journey! We cannot wait for the same to come to us!

I hope you don't mind me cutting in here, I'm a July 09 Filer at VSC and at the moment we awaiting our interview date at the London Embassy. I just wondered if anyone with a bit more experience could answer my query... I have just had my medical in London a few days ago and was told my vaccination history isn't up to date and I will require Tetanus and MMR for AOS. Theres lots of talk on our forum about having to find a civil surgeon to complete your paperwork. But no-one really knows for sure. I plan to have my missed vaccinations carried out at my local doctors but was planning to just provide proof from my doctor that I've had them, in with the AOS package, not get a civil surgeoun to transfer the information to another form. I have heard that many people don't get an RFE if they go about it this way... How did you all get on with this issue? RFE or not?

Thanks to you all so much!!

We still had to have the vaccinations transfered to the official form by a "Civil Surgeon" translate "medical assistant with a stamp". We didn't get any RFEs for that. For the $25 it costs, it was worth not dealing with trying to get by doing less. You never know though, if you don't want to spend the money you could always give it a shot.

From the guides:

Regardless of if you are exempt from a medical exam, you are still required to complete certain portions of the I-693 and have a Civil Surgeon certify the form (and seal it in an evelope). Specifically, you will complete Part 1 (Information about you) of the I-693 and provide both the form and your DS-3025 (if you have it, proving your vaccination history) and any proof of required vaccinations that were completed prior to entering the US. If you do not have a copy of your DS-3025 you will need to provide sufficient evidence of your vaccination history to the Civil Surgeon (talk to the civil surgeon's office to discuss what vaccination records they accept as proof). If you do not have proof of your vaccination history the Civil Surgeon may insist on re-administering all the required vaccinations prior to completing the I-693. Once the Civil Surgeon has has verified that all required vaccinations have been performed, they will complete form I-693 Part 2 (the vaccination section) and Part 5 (the Civil Surgeon's Certification). They will then seal the form in an envelope and return it to you.

NOA 2. Really?

We had the civil surgeon do it to avoid an RFE. We went to a local civil surgeon and it only cost $40.

Happy holidays to everyone!

We skipped the civil surgeon stuff in the U.S. entirely (he did not need any additional vaccines, though), and we did not get an RFE.
