We finally got our card production email email tonight :star:

Lucky

I dunno.

Four months since transfer exactly. Makes a bit of a joke of the ' we have transferred this to our California service center to speed up processing".

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Thanks Koakland! For everyone who is not facebook friends with me- I got into Columbia University's Master of Social Work Program! I'm super excited, though very daunted by the price tag. I got into another program in the UK and I'm still waiting to hear from about 7 more universities, so luckily I have a while before I need to make any concrete decisions.

Good luck to Andy! How did the interview go?

And congrats on the card production, cdneh!

Hope you're all having a nice Wednesday :)

They told him they still needed to talk to applicants and would call back next week. Another company called him today, but it turned out not to be quite what he expected (an on-call-only position which is problematic since it's not nearby).

Thanks for the well-wishes. I'm sure to keep you guys updated if he gets a job! We keep hoping for it every day. I have less than a month left at my temp job, and am still applying. I've had one call from UT El Paso that I'm among a "handful" of candidates they've narrowed it down to, but that was two weeks ago now and I have not hear back since. I know universities move slow, so maybe there's still hope. For those of you on Facebook, I'm trying to keep it on the down low there so as not to alert my temp job that I'm looking to "abandon ship."

CDNEH: Awesome. These things take far too long! I wish our case had been transferred, even with the delay -- NOT looking forward to our scheduled interview next month.
