HERE listen to this...chipmunk style!

Well off to work I get off early today SO I am EXCITED!!! 8 more days and I get to see my sweetheart again

2 years TO THE DATE that we last held each other!!

love you guys!

Well, one would hope that our SOs come before VJ! I'm so glad for all of you who are being reunited with your loved ones.

So updates. I'm 2 weeks out from the portfolio review thing in Seattle. Spent something like 10 hours on Thursday printing, reprinting, meticulously cutting, arranging, spraying photo mount (outside and in over and over)... and well, now I have a little expensive portfolio. It's pretty sick what it costs to put it together... I think somewhere between 300-400 bucks invested in this sucker! Maybe more. :o I'll certainly give you updates when I'm back from the event.

Andy's aunt has some work for him starting the beginning of May at her company, so it looks like that issue is taken care of. It's far from ideal, given it's hard physical labor, requires moving in with his uncle in some po-dunk-ville east, 10-12 hour shifts for not much money, and so on. It's work, but not exactly a great relief given the circumstances surrounding it. A couple months of working there should provide adequate funds for the move here/EAD wait. TBH, it's really tough thinking about ANOTHER several months right now since it's already been since September :( Sometimes I just sit and cry.

awwwwwwww sugarbeans..I am sorry..BUT think its not that long really..It will be okay..I know the feeling I waited 2 long years...sucked you know what! HUGS!!!! i promise it will be over and okay soon! keep that pretty head up

Well they definitely go too far on that thread (as usual around VJ). But I don't find the thread precious either. The people that obviously don't look around a few minutes before posting comments and questions ... well, I just don't make time for those people. One click on timelines gives you the estimate, showing you that one month isn't reality. One click on K-1 Progress Reports shows people waiting over a year. I won't rub it in their face, but I don't pity them either.

Anyhow, how's everyone doing?

Great question. How is everyone doing?

Things are great over here. Tomorrow I'm going to sign the lease on my new apt. This weekend I'll do a bit of moving. I'm wrapping up wedding planning. Buying stuff for the new place. Jeremy is wrapping up his business in France.

Question - How did you guys/are you guys handling health insurance between the time you leave your country until the time you're covered under your spouse's medical care. Jeremy found this website: http://www.americanvisitorinsurance.com/

Sebastian bought health insurance from assurant and it was under $600 for 6 months of coverage. It's not great for prescriptions or checkup visits, but it's there in case of an emergency and we couldn't really beat the price.

I think we were all "those people" at one point and for one question or another. I certainly would never claim to have only asked new questions - after all, it's all been done before.. we're just in a long continuing line of ppl going through this process.

And what I meant by precious is that I just have that love and sympathy for people just starting.... I know I certainly remember waiting for my NOA1 and 2 and how impatient I was - regardless of the timelines... I think we all (or at least I did) innocently hoped that we'd be one of the lucky ones that seemed to sail through early.

I think the OP of the thread meant no more harm in "complaining" about waiting a month than we all did complaining or telling USCIS to hurry up when there are people like estadia out there who are enduring far more than we can imagine.

Kiristen and Terri - thanks for the insurance info!

Just a quick note to say HI....also to let you all know our wedding is this Saturday. All is ready....Publix cake included. I guess it is time to start AOS stuff. As far as insurance when I joined the ranks of the unemployed I lost insurance, but I have been checking out a plan for both of us...Assurant was one of the companies and in Florida something called Florida Blue(i think) it is like a Blue Cross plan.
