The USC does not need to send passport pics, but the beneficiary must have the 2x2 size. The Boots chemist up on Oxford street (5 mins from Embassy) does them. He will only need 2, although they are cheaper than getting them done here so best if he has more ready for AOS.

You made over the poverty level required so bank letter won't be necessary. We had to give 2007 taxes which showed Rob made more than enough but then they wanted 2006 & 2005. His 2006 were bad so we had to give co-sponsors affidavit also.

Hope the printer doesn't turn up broken!!

do they go by poverty guidelines per year..like say the 125% poverty line was 15,000 in 2006, and it $18,000 now in 2008. if i made 16,000 in 06 is that ok? I think mine were worse in '06 as i was a student..but still above the 125 poverty line for that year.

Is taxes for 2006-2008 ok? I didnt get '05. but fortunately i did my '08 taxes very early.

Oh, and i dont know about the printer yet as i have once again lost out to football.

They want 3years worth of taxes, so if you have 2008 done then 2006-2008 will be fine.

Sorry, one more Q. I read on here they want your 2008 tax return and 3 yrs transcripts. Will transcripts alone (including 2008) suffice? I did taxes myself so my copy is in pencil n not very official looking. Transcripts are your income return so wouldnt that be redundant? sorry, it confused me. thanks for your help guys!

Any of you guys know whats going out outside the US Embassy in London? I heard there were protests, fires, riots, someone died!

It sounds so dangerous! My man was going to go down there saturday to ask Qs at the embassy, and now i'm going to tell him forget it! stay home! wats going on?

I wouldn't panic its a normal day in London when world powers congregate, the death of a protestor doesn't seem connected to any violence, just natural causes.

what violence there was was mainly in the city area (not near the embassy)

The security at the embassy is routinely so tight that you can only get in if you have an appointment and the offices are only open Mon - Fri, its not the sort of place you can pop in and ask things unfortunately. Any questions will have to be directed to the DoS helpline and if they can't answer them then get the weekly code and send them in to the embassy in an e-mail.

Hey guys I am in the US of A now. With my fiance. I am so happy. My trip was quite adventurous as my plane got delayed for an hour and I only had 2 hours to board my next plane in Hawaii (my POE) to my final destination. I had to go through the immigration and customs in Hawaii as it was my POE. I only had an hour to board my next plane. I had to run. I'm so happy I chose Hawaii as my POE because there was hardly anyone in the immigration. I had everything done in 20 minutes with the immigration and customs. Whew!
