So, I am in the USA !!!!!

I traveled yesterday, it was long...

I passed the immigration in JFK, everything went perfect, I gave my envelope to the officer, no question, just "You are here to get married" and it is so weird to smile and reply "yes" to this question at a POE !

He looked at my folder, and said that Jamie was a really lucky guy. Then I went to another room where a guy played with my folder and his computer for a couple minutes then I left ! Fingers in the nose !

So glad to hear you got home safely and that the POE was painless. Now you can relax and continue your journey together - fantastic

Great to hear that two of you FINALLY got approved! Now we need to get a couple more people aboard and we will be all set.

Corinthians: All I can say they should have started singing and dancing a bit earlier, so you wouldn't have to wait this long. Now they will have to make it up to you by making embassy schedule your interview ASAP.

I'm not too worried about scheduling now. The big thing for us was just getting back on track. Background checks are a black hole that not everyone gets out of as easy as we did...and we were there 3 months. (We still have some things like selling the car, etc. to take care of in Brasil).

Juliette: Thanks and congratulations on making it through. Hopefully things are going good for you. Was the dog excited to see you?

My dog was crazy happy. He is following me EVERYWHERE ! I'm still a lil' bit sad about leaving my family but really happy to be here with my man

I'm back from Seattle, and I had a much needed OUTSTANDING weekend. I got to sit and chat with several designers from top firms (Pentagram, IDEO, and WongDoody) after the conference for over an hour and made some great contacts! It was all really exciting and I'm exhausted.

Andy's training apparently was helpful he said, so I hope that means that next time he gets an interview he'll actually land a job.

Overall a great weekend. Glad to see everyone else is well!
