1 post away from page 3? What is wrong with you people???

No new fights with parents, bizarre medical conditions, wedding purchases? I'm gonna have to go back to watching TV if you guys don't pick up the drama in here. Maybe someone can go post that marrying on the VWP is wrong and so is marrying anyone more than 10 years older than you??? Please?

:wow:

If you want drama, I'll give you drama!

We leave for Barcelona in less than a week (yay!) but everything that can go wrong is going wrong. Or at least it seems that way.

-I had a haircut yesterday and they made it MUCH shorter than anticipated, meaning I can no longer do my glorious updo and will now need a veil. I was astonished at how much veils cost! $200 to put a piece of fabric on my head? Give me a break.

-My university messed up our housing situation for next year and now we are last on the signup list- meaning we're going to get a really crappy apartment next year. Great.

-My little sister is refusing to come to our legal ceremony if her deadbeat boyfriend can't come. Family drama!

-I still have that gum infection from 2 root canals last week, so my face is swollen and I look like Jay Leno.

-Said gum infection smashed all of our bachelorette party plans since I couldn't go out and drink with the meds I was on.

-We had a bachelorette party part 2 last night, now that I'm off the pain meds, and my cell phone got busted. Took me 3 hours in the shop and an unanticipated $200 and second contract to get a new one.

-Not only do I have two exams next week, plus clinicals, but we still have to write our vows, pack for Barcelona, pack for our new apartment/move to the U.S. and attend my bridal shower.

There's plenty more where that came from! I'm trying to keep my chin up, though. This time period is supposed to be stressful, right? :)

Hope all is well with all of you!

Hopefully Barcelona will make the problems disappear.

Thanks Corinthians! This is exactly why we're having the private, nonlegal ceremony in Barcelona with just us. I hate wedding planning.

Unfortunately, Ebay isn't an option for the veil since I'll be on a plane in less than 6 days. haha. I'll figure something out!

Even though it seems like everything is falling apart, I'm still trying to keep perspective. So what, my hair is a little short? We're very blessed to be where we are in this process and that's more important than all of this other nonsense. But we have to keep the thread going somehow, right? :)

Well, I leave France in 4 days... On one side I'm super excited to be with my man and my dogo again, on the other side I'm feeling sad to leave. I stayed with my parents during the 4 months waiting time and it will be very very hard to say goodbye. This time I won't see them during 6 months, and for me it is a lot :(

Why am I so complicated ??? I was waiting for this day since whe put the 129f in the envelope and now I'm kinda depressed, Com'on Juliette you are 32 years old, it is supposed to be easy to leave daddy and momma !

As much as we wish to leave Juliette, I still think it's hard for many of us to go. I'm not leaving family behind here, and my children are grown. If anything I will be closer to home. All the same, I will be sad to leave friends behind. This is a beautiful place and I will miss it, it's been home for nearly 16 years.

That being said...9 days to go (F)

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I know exactly how you're feeling, going to be a bitter sweet departure.

I'm going to miss my Mum like crazy as we're best friends...although she does drive me nuts

Thankfully i'll get to see them again in 8weeks when we have the official wedding but better have the tissues ready for the airport next week!

Terri, sorry you're having so many drama's at the moment.
