Well we are having are wedding at the same place we have our reception...easy PEASY! We have already checked it out..looked nice.

Found out honeymoon spot to! It is about 2 hours from here IN THE MIDDLE OF NO WHERE!

it is in the mountains at a cabin with a fireplace and hottub...BEAUTIFUL!

I have already started buying things to LOL. Our theme is Princess bride with peacocks and butterflies..colors are Royal blue..lilic...soft pale green with white

So glad i'm not the only one starting to buy things! Wedding rings being made in Ireland and i'm being measured this weekend for my dress to start being made! It makes me feel better having control over something when everything else is outside my control!

At least when we get the visa there won't be as much left to plan for the big day.

Hoping to fly out to see Rob in about 5weeks and then again at Christmas. Although cosmic ordering the approval for December!!lol

Dawn that sounds great and so exciting! I have looked at dresses but I am waiting until the process is closer to the end. Don't even know what month to even think that there might be a possibility of a wedding. I am shooting for June or July at the latest. Then I have thought like MichelleN to do the JP route and then do a ceremony later so I won't feel so rushed. So many options.

I think Planning our wedding will keep us ALL busy so it may go by a tad faster. To bad we could not all get our visas on the same day AND in less then 5 months LOL

Just wanted to say that i hope all the july filers have received their NOA1 by now. Its only been around 23 days since we received our noa1 but it feels much longer!! I realise it is very early in the process but is anyone else like me and keeps looking on the USCIS site for 'touches' ? I know its going to take around 4 months or longer to get to NOA2 but i still can't help looking. I really need to get myself a life Oh wait, i do.. its with my loved one.. way over there....... Best wishes everyone!

Nope. Don't expect to see any NOA2s until November or December. Despite that Vermont was slow last month with NOA1s, likely those who applied through there will get NOA2 before those of us with CA apps.

I still hope for a miracle, though!

I'm in the same boat. no touching yet, I look everyday too. Its been 26 days...which is pretty much 1/5 there! glad to have those days out of the way. I'm expecting an early december approval and will then start the wedding process. i only want a tiny wedding. would love to just go to the court, but for my family's sake. plus i'd love for my dad to walk me down the aisle.

its so hard emotionally tho this waiting, it hurts big time

If only approval/NOA2 was the end. The next steps aren't too quick either - NVC, embassy, medical, interview... blah. I expect that will take a couple months itself. I'm not booking or planning anything firm until he's got his visa. I'm guessing that won't be till at least February.

I still have him with me here for another month. I cross my fingers we have enough money between us for me to visit him around December/Christmas. I think I'll lose it being apart Sept - Feb!

YA us either we are aiming feb...TRYING JAN LOL...PRAYING it will be then...Hoping it will go faster AFTER this NOA 2 #######...all I know is I want him home..I miss him madly and I know you all miss your SO as well

Is there a thread on VJ for people to discuss their wedding and honeymoon plans? I can't seem to find one. Since all of us are dealing with trying to throw a wedding that involves at least two countries, and all of us are pretty limited in honeymoon options unless we get Advanced Parole- it only seems reasonable that there should be somewhere where we get gather and talk about the fun, frilly stuff instead of just the logistics of filling out papers!

We received our NOA1 and didn't get touched after that, so I know the feeling!!

I check at least twice a day and nothin is changing....

Thank god we have VJ, so we know were not alone

not that I know of but I say we July fliers do it here so we can all see what we all have planned..from simple to whatever and SUPPORT each other on this wonderful journey!!!

I would love to see what everyone is planning..ideas you name it..MAYBE we can pitch in together and even share ideas...recipes for weddings you name it...I will post mine later on because I am taking the grandkinds home
