I am so tired of the immigration process.

Sebastian called the embassy today to see if they have his interview date. They don't. They told him they'll get back to him in 6-8 weeks with one.

From what I've read on here, that seems like a really arbitrary timeframe. Don't people get their packet 4 much sooner than that? We really want to book a trip to Spain together as a pre-wedding honeymoon kinda thing while I'm on spring break (yeah, a month from today) so if we're going- we need to book ASAP. At this point, so long as we get to take a great trip together, we're not too fussed if his interview IS in 6-8 weeks. But I'm reluctant to spend a few grand booking flights and hotels to Barcelona if they just *happen* to schedule his interview for that time.

I've emailed the embassy- no luck. Blah!

can he not e-mail them to request that the interview is not in that particular week as he will be out of the country?

the fact they are telling you 6-8 weeks is very depressing

We emailed them 4 times now, one of which to request his interview not be scheduled that week, and we've never received a response.

I called DOS again and I talked to a really, really nice woman. She said to go ahead and book the trip and just call the embassy to reschedule if it turns out the interview date clashes with our vacation. She said we may have to wait a few extra weeks for a rescheduled appointment, but that it is absolutely possible.

So...Barcelona here we come! I just have to wait for Sebastian to get home and tell him the sort-of-good-news so we can book things!

you'll do great! funny cuz I just asked my fiance if he was nervous about the medical or the interview and he said that's he a little nervous about the interview. I was like it'll be a piece of cake. no sweat. then it hit me, Interview day is a huge f***** day!!! We've been waiting for this moment for over 3 years!! Makes me happy though Finally gonna be together.

Yeah I know exactly what is in packet3 and I already prepared everything but I don't know if they sent it to me already.

You can call the DOS number and they will let you know if it was sent out or not.

10 more days until we get our interview date...I hope it isnt too much after we find it out, i couldnt bear waiting another four weeks after that...I miss my love...going wedding dress shopping next monday...hope i find a good one and that is easy to travel to las vegas with us!
