Just a brief update.

Member on VJ is getting her police certificate mailed to her now that she called, so going to have Andy call them AGAIN and tell them as much.

Having Andy send back the checklist etc tomorrow despite missing the certificate in hopes that it somehow arrives in time. Waited long freaking enough.

Andy still hasn't heard back about his last interview, and is calling to follow-up on it tomorrow. I calculated it out - with his living expenses for 3 months of waiting for EAD, health insurance, AOS fees, flight, visa fee, etc we need $3000 to cover it. No job = no money = more time apart.

I have a job interview for a floral design PT job tomorrow. Doubtful I'm going to do it and my intensive course schedule simultaneously well. 5 classes, mostly studios that require 6-9 hours each of extra of time outside class.. yeah. I won't be spending much time on VJ, with Andy, or sleeping I guess. But honestly I'm pretty done with being the one paying for everything. It's the only reason I need this job at all.

Grumpy about just about everything today as a result of the above.

Good luck to everyone on your continued progress.

Keep your chin up Aubrey, as you said ....you are having 'one of those days'. Its good to vent and get this kind of stuff out in the open and off of your chest. You do seem to be taking on an awful lot, you are allowed to feel annoyed.

Take a deep breath. Have a glass of wine and relax......hopefully tomorrow you can get a different 'take' on the situation and find the determination to sort this and get your man back. Thats what you really want. You have come sooo far. Talk to him and work together.....c'mon, the end is in sight x

I hope I have all in order. A month and half has breezed by since I received the interview appointment. The interview is the 28th, it all seemed so far away and now I will be flying into Bogota in about 11 days staying 2 nights and flying home. Finances suck but in Colombia they like to look from behind the window and see the love struck couple interacting.

If all goes well she could be here in the 2nd week of Feb.

She needs to sell her belongings etc. as she waits for a courier, on burro, to deliver her visa. It is about a 8-10 hour bus trip one way so she arrives there the 24th for her lab and medical and to get a certificate of migration and there is only one bank which accepts money for the visa so she will have a busy, stressfull week but with light at the tunnels end.

I saw Koakland reference the AOS paperwork and she is correct, nothing we all haven't encountered. The fee is high for AOS, another rapid save, difficult without job stability. I have gone this far and the process won't beat me.

Everyone is at so many different phases in their journey it is hard to keep track. Well wishes to all!!!
