Hey Aussie Love, NOA1 is the receipt u received, in the mail, (Notice of Action) and NOA2 will be ur approval notice. If u go to USCIS web site, u can register ur receipt number to track the status of ur petition, each update on ur petition is a "Touch", it's just a slang most of us uses.

Thank you very much for your info, I will have to go to that site and check to see if I have any "touches"!!! LOL

Im sure I will have more questions later~ But we are all in this TOGETHER!!!

THANK YOU!!

Guys i have been mad all the while for not receiving my NOA1, buts it's all for my silly mistake, i received my whole application back in the mail today and the cover letter said i made a mistake on the check i submitted, which i already suspected about 4days ago, i'm happy though, i know my application is not lost, i'll write a correct check and send the application back on monday through over-night delivery, to the address they provided, it's the same st. Albans, but another department, i hope this correction will put us on back on track quick.

Oh no! It's bad news and good news all at once! I'm glad you don't have to collect everything again...that would be awful if they had lost your package. Keeping my fingers crossed for your for a quick NOA1 this time. :)

Hey guys

here I am again with another question!!

Does anyone know how long it generally takes after filling to finish??

And does it depend on where your Fiance is from, or are all countries the same???

THANK YOU!!

If you fill in your I-129F Sent date in your timeline, VJ will give you an estimate on when you can expect your NOA2. On average, the entire process is taking 6-8 months, but that can vary substantially depending on several factors, such as RFEs or trouble at the consulate.

Most of the process it won't matter which country the fiancé is from. At some spots, it could take a little longer if that consulate has a backlog for interviews or is a high security risk/high-fraud country.

Btw, if you got your NOA1 on June 30th, you're a June filer. :) But you're welcome to hang out here. The more the merrier!

Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you know we received our NOA1 today. Yipee!!!!! :dancing: Vermont received our paperwork on July 18th, and we received NOA1 24 days later. Not too bad. Wow what a relief that something is happening. Good luck to everyone else waiting. It will happen. Now we just have to sit and wait for our NOA2.

I'm glad to see most people have gotten their NOA1s by now. Congrats to you all, and I hope the remaining get yours super fast!

I finally got my answer from my parents tonight about the co-sponsor/affidavit of support, so I thought I'd give an update. After plenty of drama and my father freaking out (he printed like 50 pages of ####### from the USCIS website to read!!!), they agreed to co-sponsor. The catch: I have to write some letter saying that if the affidavit went into effect that any money they paid would become a loan that I had to repay them. That's some superb trust right there, isn't it?

The whole thing has shattered my faith in my family, and if I didn't need them to co-sponsor, I'm so ticked off I wouldn't even invite them to my wedding. Maybe I'll get over it by the time Andreas and I finally do get to set a wedding date, huh? It's a long time away. :crying:

Anyways, thanks for all your support already. <3 I'm still in this!

I was going to move there and the closer it got to start the visa for Australia the more she freaked out and made me feel SO unwanted and poor kai went through hell. SO we understand! I so can't blame you for how you feel. I would feel hurt to.

I am happy though that THEY agreed to do this!!! This means your sweetie will be home in YOUR arms forever where he belongs!

Hi All,

My check was cashed on July 8th, my account was created on July 6th and my last update was July 11th.

Waiting for my NOA1 hard copy.

I am happy to know that they have all my paperwork and that the process has started.

Thanks to everyone who has posted on this thread.

I got my EAC# off the back of the check and was able to login to my account on the USCIS website.

Best wishes to everyone
