Aubrey, try to not be too worried, and I know that it is easy to say and difficult to do, but try please...

Jamie just called the NVC, I knew that our folder would not be there but we wanted to try anyway. The girl told him that sometimes it could take 60 days after NOA2 for a folder to arrive at NVC ? I never heard about that, it seems to be kinda the same all the times : 3/4 days from Vermont and 5/6 days from California. Do you think taht it is some kinda lies so we don't call everyday ? Like when USCIS says to people "we are working on april petitioners when everybody knows that they are working on august/sept ?

Hey Juilette,

it is possible that it takes a while for the file to get to NVC. If you look at our timeline you can tell. But it's actually very very rare, so don't worry about it!!!!!!!

We've been calling USCIS so that they would track down our file and tell us what's going on but of course... no news as of yet.

I keep my fingers crossed for you so that everything will go the normal way....

And for you too Aubrey!!!!!!

What form are u completing? I need to do one too!

My senator has a form on his website that gives his staff permission to discuss our case with USCIS (the other love of my life), allows us to give our contact info to him plus a detailed description of the issue. Then we fax or mail it in.

Government agencies have 30 days to respond to his inquiry. I called today and the lady at his office was cool; the person who will help me will be there Monday.

Thanks for the support everyone.

NOA 2. Really?

Right now, the only US Senator for Illinois is ####### Durbin. Your fiance, a US Citizen, will need to contact him. Hopefully your fiance is a registered voter.

His website is here: http://durbin.senate.gov/

CHICAGO

230 S Dearborn St.

Suite 3892

Chicago, IL 60604

8:30 am to 5 pm

(312) 353-4952 - ph

If you fiance calls there, they should point him in the right direction.

Corinthians,

You're quick! ya beat us to to it!

Jokalu,

Where you need to fill in your request you could include the date you filed, that there has been no activity on your case and that others that have filed at the same time you have are being approved and some are even at the interview stage... and that you're requesting that they inquire on your behalf as to the status of your case.

Good luck - and if you do have any questions.. please ask! :) we all wanna help get everyone approved as soon as possible!! :star:
