A thing that I don't really understand is (like for Aubrey) why you guys don't send your packet 3 back anyway ? You know that it takes time (at least 1 month if you don't have an expedited appointment) for the interview to be schedule. Andy will have his police certificate by that time for sure... So why are you losing time ? Send your packet 3...

Well, there's no guarantee when the interview will be scheduled. Same with when the police certificate will be issued. Given that we filed a paper directly 2 months ago, and again locally almost 3 weeks ago (which they redirect to the same place) and still nothing, I'm afraid to assume anything. We can't afford for Andy to travel to Frankfurt twice, given it's a 5 or 6 hour train ride -- expensive! If something's missing and he would need to return, it would be very problematic for us!

Some small good news -- Andy had another job interview today! They called with only a few hours notice for some front desk job at a hotel. I have my fingers crossed. All we need is a couple of months of work behind him to save up for the time we wait for EAD!

Check this out. That 6 month processing time is from when the service center last updated (September) so I got the we are working on cases from April speech, so we're still in our processing times blah blah blah. Which was finished off with the 6 months doesn't apply to you and we won't do a service request.

I think I'm just gonna start the Senator thing now. US CIS can say they are on time because they refuse to update? Whatever. If they are working April, they should claim it, not say 6 months.

NOA 2. Really?

Number 1 on Igor's List (the old one). Don't I win some sort of prize for that? A free VJ t-shirt? LCD TV?

It ought to be worth something !

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I think u fell off Igor's list. I noticed others who fell off (and have not been approved). Why does this happen??

Exciting news about Panterchen!

Funny you should say that, someone who shall remain nameless......... called DOS today and it was noted that they had sent their pk3 back BEFORE USEM had even sent it out to them, said he'd never seen that before.....

I cant imagine where they got the idea to do that from :innocent::whistle:

I think you are a very patient person. I wouldn't be able to wait that long. I was actually about to fire a letter to my Senator, but decided to give it a couple more days and our NOA2 showed up. I think once you see people who filed after you being approved in bunches, you have to take action and not wait until it's been 6 months since you filed. Plus you see what happens when you wait 6 months anyway. It's not like they appreciate when you are being patient, nice and reasonable. You are not going to get any love back anyway, they just don't care.

Anyway, good luck with your quest for NOA2. I hope with Senator's help you will get things rolling. Good luck to the rest of our gang waiting for their NOA2s as well! I feel for you guys and gals (wish USCIS would feel for you too)!

Hey guys,

yep we got approved after the really bugged them :-) So happy!

USCIS never wanted to do a service request for us either since we didn't file before March! So I would really suggest to get congressmen involved. Not only will you get your service request but also a little pressure for USCIS. Do it now as it will probably take 2-3 weeks to get a reply from your congressman! Good luck!
