When do you think you or your honey will be in the US? Do you plan on having a traditional wedding, a civil ceremony or both? What's your biggest worry about coming here/your SO coming here?

for me:

-end of April/beg of May (his job wants 3 months notice and my SO will give notice when he has the visa in hand)

-no traditional wedding until 2010, if we do have one. I'm not sure that I want a wedding. Civil ceremony at city hall when he gets here

-my biggest worry is that he'll be bored out of his mind before he gets the EAD and that once he gets the EAD he'll have a hard time finding a job that he likes -- especially with the challenging economy. hopefully it'll be better by the fall.

I'm desperately trying to get there for end of January so as to not miss out too much time with the new addition to the family!

We're going to have a small(ish) wedding due to costs etc with just a few friends and family and then we've decided we'll have a renewal on our 1yr anniversary 2010 which may be a church affair if we can get Shan's previous marriage annulled by the church.

My biggest fear.... Shan forgetting to pick me up from Orlando.......

Oh dear.. that happened to me once, but it was on 9/11. Not really my fault I suppose, other than I was in the air at the time...hope it all goes to plan for you this time!

No news for us, he will be ringing them later, it seems easier to get through in the evening ...6 weeks and 4 days...heavens to betsy eh?

Oh dear.. that happened to me once, but it was on 9/11. Not really my fault I suppose, other than I was in the air at the time...hope it all goes to plan for you this time! OH NO FEAR I'll be at the airport at least a day before takeoff this time !!

I emailed the consulate in AKL this morning, they are so good to get back to people.

They said they got four this morning, none of them ours, which I knew. Interesting though, they said if they haven't heard by Monday next they will follow it up for me.

Why can't they all be that helpful?

That sounds promising! I hope they can help you guys out in some way!!

Sounds a bit more hopeful to me as well, at least it's more than we get from NVC. I am not sure what 'follow it up' translates to by way of actual action, but maybe a query from this end will joggle someone's elbow.

As impossible as it probably may be, I am off to try and nap. It's summer here, and a sunny warm day. The down side of that is I have a night shift tonight, and our workload always shoots through the roof in the silly season. 111 is a very popular number to dial... 12 hours among the wahoos and savages coming right up...you would think that would take my mind off my problems....NOT!

Hun I do that even when I am NOT pregant!!! LOL I left my purse in the fridge thinking I left it at the store!!!!!!!!!
