Hi, I'm a lurker, never posting. However, I did want to let everyone know that we finally got approved. We sent the application on July 22 (received July 24) and have an NOA1 of Aug. 7. The only touch we ever got was 12-29 and the message didn't change. I didn't know until my attorney called today that we had been approved. I hope this is helpful for those in July and August who are still waiting.

Also, we were about 86 on Igor's list and our approval was within the VJ timeline estimate.

I know, the sad face is just because I didn't know that the USCIS would send me an email to say that. So I thought that it was my approval and I was disappointed...

When do you think you or your honey will be in the US? Do you plan on having a traditional wedding, a civil ceremony or both? What's your biggest worry about coming here/your SO coming here?

for me:

-end of April/beg of May (his job wants 3 months notice and my SO will give notice when he has the visa in hand)

-no traditional wedding until 2010, if we do have one. I'm not sure that I want a wedding. Civil ceremony at city hall when he gets here

-my biggest worry is that he'll be bored out of his mind before he gets the EAD and that once he gets the EAD he'll have a hard time finding a job that he likes -- especially with the challenging economy. hopefully it'll be better by the fall.

I really hope my sweety will be here by April. Her brother is getting married in April so she is coming right after that. My biggest concern is that i can't get transfered out of boring a$$ Avon, Co and she won't be able to find a job due to our wonderful economy.

Im thinking end of Feb..(I HOPE!!) We are having a somewhat traditional wedding BUT not. We are doing the theme of the princess bride movie with a more modern twist.

these are the goblets I found for 10 bucks a piece; normally 30 a piece.

our dance is slow BUT will in the middle, be the dance from pulp fiction ROFL!! then back to the slow dance..funnnnn fun!!

we plan on having the wedding in the same place of our reception. Much easier if you ask me..we are getting a garden archway so we can make it all botanicial along with our centerpieces which we are making by hand.

Biggest worry?? Same as yours. That he will be bored..BUT he loves to cook and clean so he will be the house husband for a while..his idea so we can save a tad for the marriage visa..We wont have the funds right away..but SOON.

AWW I love that he says that to me all the time..it means heaps to us because it was the first movie we watched together. He set his dvd player to play with mine and we had the webcams on so we could see each other..

my ring will say as you wish and his will have farmboy fetch me a pitcher...cheesy..yes... romantic YES hehe
