Hi! Do you guys contact USEM to check if they have your case? or do you just wait for them to send the Packet 3? Thanks

we called them AND DOS every day to see if they had received our case, as soon as they had it on the system we sent packet 3 back, 3 days later we got the packet from the embassy so seems like they send them out quite quickly !!

Well accdg to NVC/DHL tracking, they received our case last dec 18.. i know i know, holidays and all.. but I have not heard from them yet. The USEM here in Bermuda doesn't get lots of K1 visa at all.. it's quite a small island so I figured that it wouldnt take them long to put it in their system and send the packet 3. I dont know if i should call and ask maybe.. its the agony.. hehe :) and i really hope something happens before the new year at least!

I already e-mailed once regarding interview time and was told to get back to them in 1-2 weeks. They updated the interview schedule on embassy's site through 2/23, but, unsurprisingly, we are not on it. They will be closed from 31st through 11th, so we probably won't hear any news until then. As mentioned before, Russia seems to be different as far as process with packets goes, so I don't think we will be getting Packet 3.

Well.. with much contemplating.. i finally decided to call and spoke to the right person - she was very nice and confirmed that she has our case. She said she was about to call me today too, I just beat her to it.. hehe anyway, she is requiring me to go to the embassy and pick up the packet 3. yaaay.. Good thing I listened to what my gut feeling is telling me.

Hope everyone else will have a wondering journey on these remaining days of 2008 and Cheers to 2009! Hoping for more great news from everyone! :)

Welcome Back PB & Jam.

Juliette...any news from France?

Hey Corinthians,

No nothing yet... We thought to get our approval last week cuz' a RFE is supposed to be check fast but nothing.

Maybe tomorrow :)

Thanks for asking my dear.

Do you guys know how long it takes when we send the RFE documents needed to the USCIS to get approved ? Jamie told me that with the RFE mail he got an envelop to put the document inside, on this envelop RFE is written in red everywhere with the word "priority", so I think that it will be fast no ?

I heard in some cases it can be 2 weeks to 2 months so not sure...it should be (lets hope and pray!) I do not think it would be to long though

(L)

2 months ??? I will die... I'm supposed to get married middle of March ! I read that it was like 1 to 3 weeks after a RFE !

Don't worry about NOA2 expiration. The embassy commonly extends the validity, and it should be no problem to do so.

Sorry to see so many hold ups at embassies. Our hold up is with getting a darn police certificate. I told Andy to go by the local police station again Friday if he doesn't have it yet. I still can't believe the embassy pointed us to a state agency (the wrong place) and didn't even bother to send a letter saying they wouldn't issue a certificate. They even have our money for it already. I'm fed up with waiting around and separation. I haven't barely spoken to Andy in 2 days because his Internet is down (again).

And the weather here STINKS. It snowed more again this morning, and now it's raining. I got stuck in the driveway today because the road plows pushed it all in the way, and it's too heavy to shovel since it's so wet. More snow coming tomorrow.

Well at least u are lucky enough to have recieved ur packet 3 yet. does anyone know what type of police certificate they need. Johny said that there are two different ones and one you only have to wait 30 minutes for. Do u think it would be okay for him to make his medical exam and get that done and over with? im just looking for anyway to get this process moving along seems how they keep slowing us down. I hate this process it is ridiculous and they keep giving us the run around.

I assumed it's fine, and I had Andy schedule his medical appointment prior to getting packet 3 (which says they will explain it after he gets an interview date :P ). They couldn't schedule it for a month, but there's walk-in hours at the Frankfurt medical office if for some reason he needs to do it a different day. The medical is supposed to be good for 6 months according to the Germany embassy site, but you'd best check your individual country.

Let's try not to do "at least you" stuff... we all suffer and wait during this process, and nobody here is trying to top anyone else. This is the only place I've got to vent my frustrations. The police certificate thing has me very frustrated, as we waited around over a month for a certificate that was never coming and we can't send packet 3 back. I certainly never meant to imply my situation was any worse than someone else's.
