Hey y'all! Hope everyone had a very merry Christmas!

So I thought I would just vent a bit here. I took a shot last week and called NVC to see if by chance those touches a few weeks ago were an approval that was never sent or updated on CRIS. The woman at NVC informed me that they didn't have my case, but insisted that as a July filer, I should have received my approval, and that NVC should have my case. She told me to call USCIS. I even said, "They're just going to tell me that I'm within the processing dates," but she insisted I call them. So against my better judgement, I called USCIS. Even though I expected them to say, “You’re still within the processing time,” I still got really frustrated when she “informed” me that I was still within the processing time. She began reading something to me and at one point, I just said, “Can you stop reading that? I already know that. Is there anything you can tell me that’s specific to my case?” I ended up hanging up on her. Here’s hoping that they can’t put anything on my file like, “Wow, what a witch. Make this chick wait as long as possible!” Hehe

Well here’s hoping the rest of the process is super fast and easy for all of you with NOA2s! And here’s hoping that those of us without NOA2s don’t end up in the Six Month Club!

So what did everyone get from their SOs for Christmas? I got a couple dvds and a bottle of perfume. We had a cap on how much we allowed ourselves to spend on each other since money will be very tight while waiting for EAD.

Kai got me a dog tag onyx necklace with a dragon on it (has a good meaning for both of us) and I got him a leather jacket and a tshirt

I am sorry they are diddling you all around!! Its as if your a damn number and not a human being...really frustrating when you can see you been TOUCHED and nothing happens....JERKS!

I woke up all stuffy still no voice hardly and sicker then #######. I have to work and my head is pounding. I got meds but ACK been going on for over a week now and I feel miserable!!!!!!!!!

I already missed two days LAST week due to a fall at work from the ice and snow so I am not missing anymore days...I have 2 days left and then I am laying down all day monday..I feel nasty sick...BLAH then tuesday is payday and I get my tiny check (missed those two days so it will be minus over a hundred bucks! GRRRRRRRRR ) I am sooooooo stressed out!

I'm finally home. Ugh, what a trip home. The snow and ice made for airport delays, and the jetway bridge in Spokane had a wheel frozen stuck which left my plane parked at the gate with everyone "hostage" for over 45 minutes just to deplane. Then the ~90 minute drive home this morning took 4 hours because of the heavy snow and wind. Yuck!

The holiday was really not great for me. My mother showed her ugly side and called me "stupid" (while screaming at me) for marrying Andy while neither of us is working (me finishing my 2nd degree here in May and Andy unable to find work in this ####### economy). That was what she unleashed by me simply asking if she was excited about Andy and I getting married. Then my father tried to console me but only added to the ugly with ####### about money, my recent divorce, etc. So much BS with them.

On a completely off-topic note, how does one get a county/state where you no longer live to stop sending you jury summons? This is the 3rd one I've gotten, and I'm getting really tired of it (both other times I sent it back with the box checked "I don't live in Travis county" and the address they're sending it to clearly lists IDAHO as the To: address). Any ideas would be much appreciated... I haven't lived there for over 2 years now!

Hopefully my package to Andy makes it to him Monday. It cleared customs on the 26th. Hope he gets his packet 3 soon so we can get an interview date!

I hope everyone had a nice holiday! Mine was nice but as soon as i was back home and in my own environment, I wasnt up much for talking and was quite depressed...Im so sick of dealing with the embassy in haiti...Johny called yesterday to tell them that he still didnt recieve a package still and now that it has been 30 days he can pick it up. But they told him to call back monday and they will let him know when to pick it up...man he got approved almost two months ago and he still does not have any papers from them. He should have had an interview date at least by now. OH well I guess...Hopefully by the week after next he will at least have his interview date and he can get his med exam and we will know about when he will be coming home...

how is everyone else doing??

Johny and I didnt get eachother anything. He doesnt have a job or any money. And I have a daughter and only work three days a week so neither of us could afford to get the other anything. I did however send him a hallmark card where i recorded my voice and some sexy pictures. That and I am going to have to send him more money for some of the immigration stuff because he used some of it to purchase the internet, the pin number, and the police certificate. Rah by the time we are totally done with immigration and he is a citizen we will have given them thousands of dollars total...gotta love it...

You got one to?? I got one 3 months ago from Washington state and I live in Idaho AND the thing is they sent it to my ex husbands GIRLFRIENDS house...go figure THAT one out Anyway I had to call them and tell them that I have never lived there at that address. If you have moved all you do is call them OR write a written explaination of why you wont be attending (you moved) THAT should take care of it!!!

I have to ship kais off on tuesday as I was El broko...My last two checks are SOOO low because I was sick for over a week SO I hope they dont look at those and go #######!!! My next one on the 15th though will be HUGE so am going to send that to him FASTTTT I do not care if it cost 50 bucks to send the damn thing. He told me to wait till the 15th to ship it all for 89 bucks so I might do that and have him make his interview for the end of Jan first part of February. THIS way I can show OT on my checks I do have some I am sending that show OT.

QUESTION: If they Change the poverty level again for 2009 will that effect our fiance visa?? OR do we still get to use the 2008 one because we filed in 2008??? I HOPE NOT!!! I made my self sick worrying about it today.

I just want him home and I am making my self so sick over it. I do not want them to say OH you do not make enough

I know what they said..BUT they could change their minds..the government does it ALL the time

I am also going to include the email THEY sent me saying with my SSI that I make enough and ABOVE the poverty level.

QUESTION: If they Change the poverty level again for 2009 will that effect our fiance visa?? OR do we still get to use the 2008 one because we filed in 2008??? I HOPE NOT!!! I made my self sick worrying about it today.

I would think they would base it off of when you filled it out and the tax information you were able to submit. You're probably not even going to have Kai at an interview after the tax deadline for the 2008 tax year, which the poverty guidelines are set for. I think the 2009 guidelines wouldn't apply until the 2009 tax year.

In the craziness of the holiday, Andy got his letter from the embassy saying they have the case. He also talked to the local police station because we found out the embassy website links to the WRONG place to get a police certificate. So they told him it will take 2 weeks for them to get him a certificate locally. I'm so frustrated wasting this time, as we're not supposed to send back the checklist till he has everything. That's the only thing he's missing.

His family has been sweet (I wish mine would be too! ) and gave him money and a suitcase for Christmas. They're going to mail the engagement gifts to us (one of his grandmothers gave us bedding and pillows - won't exactly fit in a suitcase) after he arrives. We certainly can use any help we can get.

Some others of you have mentioned money issues, so I thought I'd share something I found here on VJ about the AOS fee. Apparently someone on the board got a fee waiver and it even has it's own form. Here's the link to the USCIS page on it. I started looking into stuff in case I have to sponsor Andy myself when I (re-)graduate and stumbled upon it.

Well, I'm number 9 on Igor's list. CSC only has a few weeks and then I'll graduate to the outside of normal processing times list. What's strange is how many K1s that happens to compared to K3s. Makes me wonder if getting married first woulda been the better bet.

I did not sleep with with this flu ####### and severe head cold. One more day of work and then I can rest for 2 days ( I HOPE!!!) I am so sick BLAH BLAH BLAH!

I am taking free online secretarial courses so I can update on all the NEW stuff. I have not done that in...HMMM 8 years!!! I am studying though medical terminology so I can apply for regence blue shield of Idaho and starting pay is 9.85 an hour.

OH how things CHANGED!

We are suppose to get 2 to 5 inches of snow today! Last night the winds hit 52 miles an hour and I lost one tree! Scared me to pieces!!!! We get winds this high once in a blue moon. The lightning storms here are intense sometimes! Two years ago we had a nasty lightning storm that killed two people here. No rain JUST lightning.

We also get fires here that get nasty bad in the summer because it gets so dry. We had a fire 3 years ago that went through 6 towns and burnt 476,000+ acres of land and mountains. Thank god no one died but the sky was blood red and pieces of soot and burnt tree pieces were landing on my car and others around here.

The seasons though are really intense, When its fall its fall(auteum) when its winter its winter, spring is spring and summer is summer. Even the temputure change is intense. We go from -2 or -4 to 120 sometimes here...Hella cold to hella hot LOL...........

I was thinking in less then 60 days he should be home...its great saying less then 5 months less then 4 less then less then lesssssssss then lol...FEELS SO GOOD!!!!!!!

how are those doing who have not received noa2s doing??? I think about you all a lot! I pray you all get it and everything goes smoothly for the interviews all that. I think about it and I want to throw up LOL

No nothing yet... We thought to get our approval last week cuz' a RFE is supposed to be check fast but nothing.

Maybe tomorrow

Do you guys know how long it takes when we send the RFE documents needed to the USCIS to get approved ? Jamie told me that with the RFE mail he got an envelop to put the document inside, on this envelop RFE is written in red everywhere with the word "priority", so I think that it will be fast no ?

I heard in some cases it can be 2 weeks to 2 months so not sure...it should be (lets hope and pray!) I do not think it would be to long though
