eh, Ikea is ok. The furniture looks nice enough and it's fairly cheap here but there are so many pieces and the directions are awful. Just pictures with arrows. No numbered pieces, letters or anything. I've had bad Ikea assembly experiences. I went to an actual furniture store today that assembles the furniture for you so I'll probably do something like that.

Well its Monday Dec 22nd here in the UK, a short week by all accounts, some big hoohaa so every where's closed for 2 days.

Good luck to those still waiting, maybe the Xmas Elf has pee'd in the USless coffee machine so they have no breaks and bang out a load of approvals "in the Xmas spirit"

Its so cold here we just got another 8 inches and more coming all this week..driving home from work sucked eggs!! I was going 10 to 15 in a 45 UP the stupid hill...(everywhere I drive ther eis some sort of darn hill i have to take to get hime.

How is everyone holding up under the Christmas/holiday madness?

I mentioned earlier that we may have to wait for Sebastian to come to the States. Well, not any longer, thanks to many a family member's generosity! He'll be here ASAP once his visa is in hand. And just 4 days until I board the plane to London!

It might be a bit early to think about SSN application, but I like to know everything in advance. I think I understand the process in general, but I do have one question and hope someone knows the answer.

Instructions for SSN application here, on VJ, indicate that you need to produce an extra form of ID in addition to your foreign passport/I-94 form when applying. Is that really the case? I'm just confused because I'm not really sure what other type of ID my SO could possibly have available at that point in the process???

Well, I don't know. Driver's license is out of question in our case, she doesn't have one. I didn't have time to read thoroughly through the official instructions, but I was thinking that maybe additional ID requirement only applies to US citizens??? I guess I'll have to call SSA if I don't figure it out on my own. I just though maybe someone knows for sure.
