well I saw something from dhl I called nvc back and they said dhl picked it up on the 15th but sent out ready to ship on the 13th. SO i called the Embassy and embassy said yes it was there..very nice laid back folks there in Sydney..SO FAR SO GOOD

Cham you actually called the sydney embassy direct? I've tried calling them before and they wouldnt answer any questions, they told me they would only answer by email. I need to call them on Monday to get some information (we dont know if our medical has show up yet and the doctors office is going to be closed from wed till the day we have our interview). What number did you call if you called the Embassy direct and not the dept of state?

Annax I did a no no BUT you can try it

I called this number 02) 9373-9200 (kai did as it is not long distance for him

He told them I realize I am not suppose to call you as your number is not realted to the K-visa and Yes I know you only answer by email; but is there some way you can just give us some idea IF the visa packet was received at all so we can make our next step. It has been a year and a half since I have been with her and it is killing us not being able to know what is truly going on. So if you could be kind enough to let me know that would be wonderful and if not I totally understand. Being Close to Christmas this would be a wonderful gift to us to be able to find out so we are not sweating and stressing.

SO they said well normally we do not do this and are really not suppose to but since it is the holidays and I feel in a giving mood I will find that out for you. He found out within 10 mins and there you go..ITS WORTH A SHOT and HOPEFUL you get who he had!!

Koakland

Call this EARLY morning because they are Eastern standard time. I am in the Pacific time zone so I called at 7 am

I posted the number on my timeline so I copied for you..(603)334-0700 They were very nice and you need to have your USCIS NOA2 number ready along with your sweeties name and birthdate and yours

HUGS hope that helps

wow everything is moving fast I found out that the Sydney consulate HAS received his visa info on the 19th ( our 18th)

so that was heck fast!!! Some guy named Aaron signed for it

Im shaking sooooo bad...so much to do..

How did you guys and gals find out when the embassy received your case? Did you get a DHL tracking number from NVC? I never asked, but I might if that's the case, although I'm much more interested in interview date than the arrival to the embassy date. Barring some extraordinary circumstances, it should get there OK.

Just call NVC and ask them if they sent it to the embassy yet...that is what i did...but now we are stuck in haiti...

Yeah, well I just tried calling them and it said they're closed, call back during normal hours... uh, it's 5EST, they're supposed to be open till midnight. #######? They haven't responded to my email which I sent 2 days ago, either. Bleh.

I got my father's co-sponsor paperwork in the mail, and I was excited I could FedEx it to Andy... but I double-checked it and found out that I screwed up. My mother filled out the form and made a mistake, and I told her not to use white-out so I'd just email her another form to print. Well I sent her the form I'd downloaded in July... which has expired! So now we're delayed until I get back from the holidays because I need them to sign the thing again on the updated form. I'm ticked because I've triple-checked everything except that stupid attachment I emailed her... ugh.

But it explains why the banker looked at me funny when I asked her to notarize the I-134 and there was no space for it. The most recent (October 08) form no longer requires it to be notarized, and says so right in the instructions. I, of course, had only read the expired form's instructions. No harm no foul there, but at least I understand why there was no space now!

And holy smokes, so much snow. I'm leaving a day early for the airport because it snowed 2 feet there yesterday and the day prior. Everything in Spokane is basically stuff shut down, and I definitely don't want to drive these snowy, icy roads at 3:30am like I originally planned for Sunday morning. Now I'm rushing to clean, do laundry, pack, etc to leave by tomorrow afternoon!

Talked some more to Andy, and he's made some calls to family about jobs. His aunt (who he's worked for before) said she'll look into it and call him back in a few days. It would involve a move ~300km east for a few months, but it would be a JOB, which would be a gigantic weight off of my little shoulders. Cross your fingers, pray, do a dance, meditate, or whatever for us - we really need him to work!

I'm so glad everything's moving along to the embassy for most people here. I'm looking forward to the day everyone's posting their wedding pictures! The 6 month mark is not far off for the rest of you still waiting, so I hope you've looked up your senator/congressman's contact information!

Oh awesome! I didn't know that it didn't need to be notarized anymore. I'm waiting to receive my employment verification from my employer and then I'll send it off to France. I've read that if your income exceeds the poverty guidelines then you don't need to add additional info (bank acct statements, 401k statements, investments etc.) but doesn't the gov't want all this info? If its asks for it on the form, isn't it required? I just don't want to omit something now and then include it later for AOS and get in some type of trouble. Paranoid. thoughts?

Some of the resident "experts" around VJ have cautioned against providing extra information on this form because they can request additional information on any of it that you fill in (an example I've read, if you provide your mortgage info they can request an estimate on your house). Tons of people have gone through with no problems with leaving blanks, so it seems more risky to provide unnecessary information.
