Um, is this a suicide note? I seriously hope not. Your life has been cruel, and I hope I'm reading way too much into this, but remember you have children, don't be cruel to them. I seriously hope that's not what I'm reading here.

I read it that way. It's never the answer. It is a dreadful legacy to leave your family at Christmas.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Well, quite a few updates to report on this end. Called the NVC last night, they have our case, and they sent it to London this morning. I wasn't expecting them to be so fast! Sebastian booked his medical for January 8th. So that's where we stand.

As everyone else said, please take care of yourself Chelle! I know things seem impossible right now, but aren't you glad you at least found out before marrying him? You deserve much more than this and I truly wish you all the best.

Cham you actually called the sydney embassy direct? I've tried calling them before and they wouldnt answer any questions, they told me they would only answer by email. I need to call them on Monday to get some information (we dont know if our medical has show up yet and the doctors office is going to be closed from wed till the day we have our interview). What number did you call if you called the Embassy direct and not the dept of state?

Someone in the August thread posted this link about DHL tracking. It isn't working for me yet, but mine was supposedly just sent today so I don't know how long it takes to get in their system. Hope it works for you!

I'm planning to e-mail embassy on Sunday, so they get it Monday morning. There is a good chance they will have it by then. Would be nice if they told me an interview date as well, but that would be a big stretch.

I think they only take calls half the day, like 8 to noon or something...it seems like I read that somewhere once. I could be wrong though; Ive read so much stuff lately I can't remember it all.

Both Vermont and California filers use the same number for the NVC, right? 603-224-0700? I've called them at least a dozen times, and most of the time at strange hours. I think I called at like 8 p.m. last night and at 9 a.m. this morning. I always get to talk to a person and I've never heard of them being closed except on weekends. Although the lady I talked to yesterday said they're only open on Monday and Tuesday next week.

I just spoke with them. They said the embassy has the electonic version but doesn't show that the paper version has arrived. they basically told me stuff I already know. Once it's there they'll send my fiance a letter and some paperwork etc. Eh, I'm not worried about it. I tried the DHL thing and it definitely did not work for me hahaha. I called 202 663 1225.

yours wouldn't show until monday. If they've told you they sent it today, pick up won't be until the next business day - at least from what I saw on my experience. you can prolly check tonight or monday to see if they've sent it. you can check it at dhl.com --> track by reference --> EXP 19 DEC 2008A

so since they said they've sent it today, thats the date you would put, hence EXP 19 DEC 2008A. It wouldnt have your name on it, it would just have the country destination of the package. Hope this helps!

Cheers!

I just checked using the method suggested and it appears package that left NVC on 12/12 was delivered in Moscow on 12/15. Hope our petition was there. :) In any case, it seems that once it leaves NVC, it gets to most embassies in 2 to 3 days. The one that left NVC on 12/15, got there on 12/17. I'll be e-mailing the embassy anyway though, just to make sure.

Thanks for heads up!

Woo hoo! Tried it again and it shows left NVC on 12/12, received in Paris on 12/15 and signed for on 12/17/2008. I hope my fiance will received p3 soon :)
