I am sorry to hear you got stuck at NVC!! I am crossing my fingers for you that your case is out there soon. This is ridiculous after this long wait for NOA2 ...

Congrats on all approvals! VSC seems to really catch up!!!

Who is left of all July filers? Anyone? Or do I already have to join the August thread to have some companions? :help:

I also noticed again that the average (!) processing time for the last 3 months has increased from 142 to 148 since I have been watching it on VJ. Guess another proof that VSC didn't do much on K1 visas in July I assume...

PB&Jam: We will get there. One day... :clock:

Okkk I have finally picked out my wedding dress along with my 3 daughters dresses. My oldest will be my maid of honor and the two younger ones will be my bridesmaids so I am hoping I post them right. The red one is mine :), the silver one is my maid of honors and the black ones is for the bridesmaids. If this works please tell me what you think , thanks hugggs

chelle

Very pretty. I'm thinking how your pictures will turn out, and your red should look quite stunning. :) Have you considered using the same color for both the maid of honor and bridesmaids and differentiating them with an accent (a sash, a different bouquet color or ribbon, same color but different style dress, etc)? It might hold up better in the photos (rather than 3 colors). Sorry, I just had to... that's the designer in me talking. :P The dresses themselves are very nice.

OH MY GOD WE'RE APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SIX MINUTES AGO!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!

Congrats. Very happy for you both. :)

Ohh Aubrey, I didnt even think of pictures. The silver would look bad wouldnt it. Umm I am trying to think of how I can change the black dress somehow to make it look different for the maid of honor.. any ideas???? I dont know how I would use a sash as the dress is made differently. I would like something red on it of course but not sure how to go about it. I can get the silver one in black also and it is a little different from the other two... what do you think of that? any ideassss will be appreciated. I am in a rut right now so need to keep busy. I will be having red and white roses in my bouquet. I was going to have real ones but now am thinking it would be fun to make my own and that way they will last forever and would give me more to do to stay busy LOL. any ideas on the bouquets would be helpful to. I feel like this is my first wedding when its actually my 3rd eeeks did I just admit that to you all haha. well they say 3rd time is a charm so lets hope ;)...Thanks for the tip , cause like I said I never even thought of photos... Chelle

Oh boy, so much to catch up on! Thanks so much for all the replies on my 200+ pages question, as well as all the information on the NVC steps, Shannon and Nick!

Congrats on your NOA2 Ev & Saya and foxtrot37 (and anyone else I may have missed)!

I'm sending some extra special, extra lucky sprinkle dust your way PB&Jam, panterchen and chadherm. And lots your way too, cdneh! Sorry you don't have your packet 3 yet, darkraven cna, but let's hope it's just because of the postal systems during the holidays? I hope everyone is able to get sorted out by Christmas, at the VERY latest. We all deserve to start the New Year off on the right foot.

As for wedding vows, we've looked through other vows from other sites and tried to get an idea of what we'd like to include. There are so many little things I want to be sure to include in them! We've picked out a few readings at the very least. I'll share my favorite love poems if you share yours, VJers! ;)

The dresses are beautiful, Chelle! For some reason, I never noticed your faces in the flag on your avatar and I just got REALLY freaked out! hahaha. To make the maid of honor dress look different, you could always have them wear a matching shrug or a bolero over it. Like this:

bolerokurtiswariekobridgu5.jpg

bolerokurtiswariekobridoc3.jpg

But the fact that they're different colors distinguishes them a lot already, so you may not need to alter the dress itself.

Aaaaahhh, I'm really hoping Sebastian can be here for the first week of March. I'll have a little over a week off from uni then and it would be ideal for having our elopement ceremony and spending a week cuddling in a log cabin somewhere. We had a long talk about finances last night, and we may decide to wait until May for him to come here though, which breaks my little heart :(.
