Hey everyone! Congrats to all the new approvals it is awesome!!!

I have a question...We got our approval on November 5th and Johny still has not recieved his packet 3 yet....anyone have any idea of how long it takes...I think i am going to call the NVC this coming week, I just have not had time to even think let alone make phone calls between work and school and trying to get immigration things finished up....

This is too long...You should definitely call NVC and see where your file is and whether they sent it out or not.

Might be they sent it and your consulate is not the fastest...

Or might also be that they are doing additional background checks. Ask them in particular about this as they won't tell you if you don't ask!!

Sure I agree. But what about 6 months and longer? I don't think this is reasonable anymore especially if people have a past that is as clean as it could possibly be...It screws over our plans and, honestly, we are already considering moving to Germany together. Who on earth today can afford living in limbo like that forever? If I would have known it would take us so long, I could have taken a much better job. Instead I am doing ####### work while waiting for this fu*** approval which lowers my motivation for life in general. I am ready for this to be over.

What a bulls***. Here we would just get married, register him as my husband and that would be it! Weird, hm?

I don't even wanna think about how escadia here thinks. She is stuck at USCIS for over a year without any news.

Congrats to everyone who got approved! Please have sympathy for the ones venting here (like me)!

Yeah, I totally agree with you. My SO and I looked at the same things. It's ridiculous how hard it is just to bring your fiancé here. I could enter Germany on the VWP, marry, and become a PR in a matter of days. The catch for me is... well, I don't speak German. So that ruled that out! The economy seems like in worse of the crapper than in the US too now... don't quit your job, because my SO has been looking for months and can't find ANYTHING. Not even a ####### job like McDonald's has had openings!

Andy's IT tech interview is tomorrow. I'll be sure to let everyone know how it goes! It would help so much if he could work for awhile before moving over.

As for the approval, I figured I'd wait till Friday or next week before calling NVC to see when they get our petition and whether it's passed along. I'm still waiting on my 2nd round of tax transcripts (since I goofed the first time and got the wrong years), and Andy is STILL waiting on his police certificate... it's been a month now. It's about time we got those ducks in a row, I'd say.

And on a completely unrelated note, Spry and XML are my new arch enemies. Grrr. Web coding is soooo not my cup of tea!

Come on USCIS, let's approve the rest of my VJ July family!

Yes, I called NVC and got our new receipt number (as ppl have said, talk to a human - the info isn't on the automated system) - then I called DOS directly and doubled checked we weren't in AP. They confirmed what NVC said, that our application was sent to London on Friday. Since we had the new receipt number from NVC, Nick called and scheduled his medical.

I am so excited!!!

I hesitate to be to sickeningly happy tho.... I do feel SOOOOOO bad for those that haven't gotten their NOA2 yet, the approval system is so unfair - in that it is NOT done in order. We'll all get there tho!

Been in tears most the day, not a good look on a building site , just so darn pee'd off with the wait!

But our adjudication date is 4-11th Dec so it must be soon.

Keep calling NVC and sneaking up on the USCIS website...neither are working for me.

Maybe Rob will have received something in the post...here's hoping!

I got back from Costa Rica to find out that my SO received the packet from the embassy in Tokyo!

She is getting her medical check and police record are being done today. Luckily I got the affidavit of support done already.

me either. 08/01/2008. tired of seeing that. i was in a particularly crappy mood today. its monday, im recovering from a cold and no NOA2. listening to christmas carols have helped a bit. the charlie brown christmas album - picks up the spirits. i did get my christmas present from my fiance, a dustbuster we decided to buy each other stuff for our new apt and marriage. we're not having a wedding until 2010 maybe, so no wedding gifts for us anytime soon.

Cham - good news about your financial situation. im glad that it has worked out.

Ya I hear ya! I just want him home...I can feel him emotionally but i miss those hugs from my big guy

On top of this I am NOW smaller then when he saw me first LOL...I lost 100 pds and am NOW under 200 FINALLY WOOT WOOT I feel awesome and he is cheering me on...I dont mind being chubby but HUGE I could not breathe good or walk...it sucked!
