Naglfar & & Alice/Brandon: Congratulations on your NOA1!

Naglfar: I received two touches since my NOA1. Since my check hadn't cleared yet, I'm assuming its to enter that I'm paid for in their system. I've seen lots of others on VJ get touched shortly after their NOA1 dates too - probably some filing stuff. Touches often don't mean anything, just someone picked up your casefile for whatever reason, not necessarily to work on it.

Best wishes to everyone still waiting on their NOA1. I'm confident you'll get it soon!

My case is now online as well. It was updated on 7/29, which I think means it was entered in the online database on that date. All we can do now is sit and wait, and, of course, hope that things will speed up.

I don't know why it's taking them so long... it is sooo frustrating! You r the only one I noe who got NOA1 from VSC... Wheneva I call I get the same asnwer dat wait 1 more week or your case is not in the system or it takes 4 to 6 weeks or wait for your check to get cashed blah blah blah blah

i hope VCS does something about it next week.

Sandman2008 i filed good 2weeks befor u, and i also haven't received NOA1, neither my check been cashed, my should make u little bit relaxed, i know we are all faustrated, if u refile, i believe they will probably process ur first petition, be for the newer one, i still believe they process as they receive, ur new petition may be way down there behind the first sets they receive this month, but as i said, patience is not a choice in situation like this, let's be strong, thanks.

But at the same time Sandman2008 you don't have to stop putting together the 2nd petition and get them ready just in case. My fiancee just sent the 2nd set of G-325's with her signature and her passport photos, to me yesterday from Nigeria, so it should reach me sometime next week, good luck to all of us on this forum.

You dont get to chose which center you file at- just an FYI- everything out of VSC seems to be slow right now. Do you have confirmation that VSC recieved your package? If you sent it on the 3rd, with the 4th being a holiday you are probably looking at a reciept date of 5-6th. Possibly even later if you used regular mail. The service center wont do much to help you until you have been waiting a full 4 weeks. So far your not there yet. I would relax. The NOA1 is only a small blip in how long this whole process is going to take. If you refile, you risk really screwing things up for yourself if they have already received your application.

anyone keeping track of other people who filed months before us? is it just the vermont center running slow right now?

Just as marcuskelli just said, u can't send it to a different service center other than their instruction, if not they will madlly throw out ur application, and make u resend it to the right place & that's wasting more time. dgk3188, it's unfortunate i didn't know about this forum until after i submitted our petition, but i'm sure earlier filers did not have any delays, i think the delay started last week of june.

Relax people, we will get our NoA 1 soon. I don't think VSC lost all July Filers packages.... they must be working on something else and just not processing new packages yet.

Think it this way... It will be the same if we get our NOA 1 in 4-6 weeks and NOA 2 60 days later.. as we get our NOA 1 in 1 week and then wait 90 days more to get NoA 2.

Bottom line, I believe our total wait time for NoA 2 will be the same, regardless when we get our NOA 1.
