Got my NOA1 today! :dance: It was actually issued on 7/23, but took a while to get here.

...and the waiting game continues. Let's hope they will start processing them a bit faster than in the recent past. I really want to believe whoever said that they are busy with work visas right now and, come August, will put more emphasis on K1s and K3s.

Hi all,

I posted yesterday saying that we were still waiting for check to be cleared and for NOA1. Well, we got NOA1 in the mail today and check has been cleared!!! :thumbs:

Here starts our journey! Good luck to everyone!

July 23rd 2008: NOA1

December 5th 2008: NOA2

January 28th 2009: Visa granted

April 4th 2009: Wedding!!!

AOS journey, 2009:

April 29: AOS package sent

May 7: NOA date for AOS, EAD and AP

May 28: Biometrics appointment

June 8: AP received

June 12: EAD card received

September 10: AOS interview, Approved!!!

September 11: Email, card production ordered

Hi all,

I posted yesterday saying that we were still waiting for check to be cleared and for NOA1. Well, we got NOA1 in the mail today and check has been cleared!!! :thumbs:

June 28..........Received @ VSC

Aug 09.......... Packet sent back b'cos of poor written check

Aug 11...........Resent packet to VSC

Aug 12...........Package deliverd and signed for by P. Novak

Aug 14...........NOA1

Aug 18...........Check cashed...(Pheeeeew)

Aug 19...........Touched!

Aug 20...........NOA1 Hard copy

Dec 01...........Touched (due to my change of address)

JAN 06 2009...NOA2 ( case approved ) wooohhhhhhoooooo!!!!!!!

JAN 07 2009...Touched!

JAN 08 2009...NVC Recieved Case( we got our case number)

MAR 28 2009...Returning to the USA with wife-to-be.

MAR 29 2009...POE (IAH) Intercontinental Airport Houston (2nd day arrival )

APR 10 2009....Our Glorious Wedding (Good Friday, How cool uh?)

When he says yes, nobody says no, believe in him my Lord is able..............

So the online thing is working today and mysteriously I have a touch on July 29th.

Did everyone have a touch the day they first looked at it online? It seems a little early for a July case to be doing anything other than sitting on a shelf somewhere.

I called VSC again & again the same answer 4-6 weeks... Calling the USCIS customer services center is completly useless.

No western has ever come close to this one....and no western ever will.

maybe they are just saying that so people will stop calling?

i imagine there must be tons of people calling in.

i mean, that cant be right...especially when a couple people have received their NOA1's

nevermind...i just noticed everyone receiving their NOA1's are from California Service Center

Naglfar & & Alice/Brandon: Congratulations on your NOA1!

Naglfar: I received two touches since my NOA1. Since my check hadn't cleared yet, I'm assuming its to enter that I'm paid for in their system. I've seen lots of others on VJ get touched shortly after their NOA1 dates too - probably some filing stuff. Touches often don't mean anything, just someone picked up your casefile for whatever reason, not necessarily to work on it.

Best wishes to everyone still waiting on their NOA1. I'm confident you'll get it soon!

We sent our K-1 on the 26th so I'm just now officially joining the club! :)

It's still in FedEx's hands but I'm relieved it's finally on its way. Even if Vermont is slow at the moment. Congrats to everyone who's received their NOA1's!!!

Timeline:

K-1

07/30/08- I-129F was delivered to Vermont

08/11/08- NOA1

12/14/08- NOA2

02/11/09 Interview (Approved!)

03/07/09 POE at JFK

03/13/09 Married!

AOS

04/08/09- NOA1 for AOS and EAD (we didn't apply for AP)

04/22/09- Case Transferred to CSC

04/24/09- Biometrics Appointment

05/22/09- EAD card production ordered

05/29/09- EAD approval notice sent

06/01/09- EAD arrived in the post

06/18/09- I-485 RFE notice via email

06/25/09- I-485 RFE notice via mail

(They wanted him to redo medical exam- they must've lost it. They also wanted a copy of our marriage certificate, even though we included that in our original submission.)

07/03/09- Medical exam (second one this year grrr!)

07/06/09- I-485 RFE response mailed back to CSC via USPS

07/08/09- I-485 RFE response package delivered at CSC

07/10/09- I-485 Case Processing Resumed (CRIS email)

07/16/09- I-485 Card Production Ordered

07/21/09- I-485 Approval Notice Sent

07/24/09- Green card received in the post!
