I would be careful what you say about those who adjust status from the VWP because once I too called it a "loophole" and had a gang of posters jump on me for it for 1- implying that people were trying to commit fraud and 2- using the word "loophole".

I think it was more a case of personal feelings involved because of the poster I was interacting with.

Anyway.

Well... maybe I'm the odd one here, but I think it's crazy that there's a K1 visa at all. Since there's still AOS to make it legal to stay afterwards, there's already something in place to check backgrounds, do interviews, etc. I think it's cruel and unusual punishment by our government to keep me apart from the person I want to marry and charge me a ton of money to do it. And think of the people on K3/K2... that's even worse, keeping people from their own current family members! I'd advocate ditching this stupid K system all together and allow adjusting from visitor visas.... but that's just me.

OKAY ALL GOOD NEWS!! I got a job interview with a company I been DYING to work for. I passed the 1st part with no problem and was granted a second jop interview. IF ALL GOES WELL I will be making over 18k a year to 20k a year

YES its a tough job the first year BUT the benifits are to die for and I can move up fast in this company!!!

Have you guys checked your timelines lately? It's insane how fast they are moving the dates up...maybe all those extra people and higher fees helped. I've gone from mid December to Last week of November over the last month.

Yeah, mine has moved up ~a week or so in the last couple of weeks. I'm trying not to let it get my hopes up, though, since those dates fluctuate based on people entering timeline data.

Yeah I have. My fiance checks it nearly everyday and it keeps moving up. I've gone from early Jan to mid/late December.

CSC goes up, VSC has been going down every day......I started with mid-end of October, and then it kept moving until Nov 5-14, and now back again to Nov 4-11. I would be cool with that

Bit late to join but, my fiance filed for K-1 visa on 8th Jul 08, received NOA1 31st Jul 08 at Vermont. It was touched on 5th Aug 08.

This is a long waiting game but my misses said something that really touched me. She said;

'I am just thinking of the prize at the end of this process, and that is you coming here to be my Husband'

Brought a tear to my eye.

Good luck to everyone and I think my misses is 100% right, lets all be positive.

your misses is right, we all have to try and remain positive. I know there are days when i think i am gonna go crazy with the waiting game, but what can one do? it is out of our hands and in the hands of uscis!!

so it's great to know that there are others here at vj that are in the same boat and understand how one is feeling about this process. And that we are all here to lend a shoulder to cry on or an ear when one has to vent frustration. And of course the BEST advice ever when one is feeling lost,scared and can't understand the next steps of the process.

I am so glad i found vj. The folks here are so kind and helpful. It makes this whole waiting game a little more bearable.
