VJ estimates your NOA2 date for you. Check out your own timeline. :)

After NOA2, they send stuff to the national visa center, then to your country's consulate. If you haven't already, check out the K1 guide and flowchart. It explains everything pretty well.

P.S. I found out today that Islamabad embassy dont issue the visa rite away.. That Sux..They do this AP(security check) thing & it takes foreva & I mean foreva :angry: Most embassy's will issue the visa right after the interview.. Some will mail it a week later But Islamabad embassy! :crying::( That just mean more waiting! :wacko:

That's a bummer, but try not to get ahead of yourself. The whole thing seems overwhelming when you worry about stuff that isn't here yet.

I got my own bad news today. My parents are having second thoughts about co-sponsoring us. Apparently my mother just now told my father about it and he's all concerned he's going to get charged money. I'm on my last year of a second degree, so I don't meet the I-134 income requirements myself... so I'm majorly concerned. And to top if off, he gave me heck about whether I knew my SO well enough and that we don't have enough money to do this ourselves, and that we aren't using a lawyer... :ranting: Bad day!!!

Cross your fingers for me, as I have some major problems coming if they back out of co-sponsoring.

WOW you serious?? This is why I did not move to Oz because of this..Kais mom was the SAME way was bad all around. I will say a pray for you all! Maybe print off some papers showing your father he will not be responsible.

I think folks like that do not realize you CAN fall in love with someone far away. IN fact Communication skills and emotions are better I think then the normal meeting in person thing. I know we have INTENSE emotionally feelings because of this. Or is it just us? LOL

07/25/08 NOA-1 FINALLY!!!!

07/31/08 CHECK WAS CASHED!

07/28/08 touched!!

12/08/08 NOA2 FINALLY!

12/13/08 NOA2 received in the mail

12/18/08 Called NVC at (603)334-0700 and talked to a nice lady named Rose. Our case was received on the13th and was sent out to sydney...WE WILL SEE!

12/13/08 NVC received letter and said they sent out to Sydney

12/18/08 received letter in the mail from NVC.

12/19/08 another letter from NVC stating it was shipped out

12/24/08 ARRIVED IN SYDNEY at 10:26 am and signed by tom

12/29/08 CONFIRMED it is at Sydney and Good ol Tom did sign for it LOL THANKS TOM!!

12/29/08 Sydney waiting for paper file from nvc and has it requested

12/31/08 Sydney confirmed through email that the paper file was received

01/05/09 His police checks are done and sent off!!

01/28/09 Kai went to his medicals forgot one of his passport pics and needs two more shots all was good!

2/18/09 medicals ready to be picked

2/20/09 packet 3 sent in

2/26/09 pkt 3 received today takes UP to 10 days

04/07/09 interview....APPROVED!!!!

04/20/09 He flew in ..flight was changed he was 3 hours late BUT HE IS HOME

port of entry took 2 mins!! LOL

04/25/09 WE ARE MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!

10/5/09- Check cashed

10/11/09 - Received Biometrics letter in the mail

10/29/09- Biometrics appointment

10/14/09 - Walked in for Biometrics appointment

10/15/09 - Touch I-485/I-765

10/16/09 - I-485 transferred to CSC

11/6/09 - EAD approved

11/9/09 - Advance Parole approved

11/23/09- Received EAD/AP

12/2/09 - Email Card Production Ordered!!!!

12/9/09 - Card received

My check was cashed yesterday so I am just waiting for my NOA1 in the mail.

Not sure if your bank makes copies of your check and puts it online for you to view.

I'm able to view my checks that are cashed online thru my bank, and when mine was cashed, I saw my case # stamped on the back and was able to create an account with USCIS and view my petition before I got my NOA1 hard copy in the mail, as you can see in my sig..

07-10-09..... Case transfered to California

08-05-09..... AOS Card production ordered

08-06-09..... AP approval sent

08-06-09..... EAD Card production ordered

08-11-09..... Got my GREENCARD

08-13-09..... Got my EAD card and AP

Thanks...my bank does do that so I have set up my account online with USCIS. Good luck to you too...now the real waiting begins.

Congrats Ghorabaa, dillon, Labhrais, and SirJon! :star: It's so good to see more people making progress. You can expect your NOA1 in the mail any day now (assuming you get one -- some never do).

Keep your chins up, and welcome to the waiting room you 4!

crs: I would gladly ask a friend to co-sponsor if I knew someone to ask. My only friends that could don't live in the same state, and most I haven't seen in person in years or ever (friends my SO and I game and chat with). I could ask my sister, but my hunch is that she wouldn't be willing. I'll ask, though, if my parents back out. I haven't heard back from them yet, which is unusual and probably not in my favor. But I'll let you all know.

I'm glad that I found this thread before I started hitting my head against the wall! :wacko:

Package received at VSC 19th July. Money order not presented yet...I must learn patience!haha

Knowing there are others still waiting is stopping me from going full tilt into panic mode!

What's real crazy is how fast the times for estimated NOA2 are moving up, the estimates for me were mid December and now it is moving into November. Hope it's like that for all of us.

Hello! I'm Jenny, another July filer! I have a question, on ppl's time lines it says "touched". what does that mean? does that show up on the status check that your case has been touched? Is it a big deal when your check is cashed?

This is my first post so sorry I'm new at this. I filed in CA in July and got my Noa 2 weeks ago. This wait is hard but its so cool to see i'm not alone!!

First off Congratz to all!

Okay if you go to the Uscis website and look under case status online; there is a sign up area you can sign up ( it will tell you how to and follow it because it is rather picky)

once you are in and have your case number put in from your NOA-1 you can go online there to check your status. You will see a date like 7/28/08 and so on every time you see this change...THIS is considered a TOUCH
