W2, ITR, BANK STATEMENT AND EMPLOYMENT CERT..SHOULD I HAVE THE ORIGINAL?

i know the USEM are asking for copies of w2, itr, bank statement...do i still need to show them the originals of these documents??

Jan 2008 - application was sent back to us due to mis sent to Chicago instead of California

Jan - sent application

Jun 27 - NOA2 by the mailbox!!! (found out that d 2nd touch was d approval..sweet!)

Jul 3 - NVC sent letter to petitioner

Jul 15 - confirmation letter received (tnk u my dear DHL)

Jul 17- 1st day - medical exam SLEC (on hold and waiting for it to be done successfully) July 31- PASSED!

Aug 28 - USEM interview date! (eto' na!) - PASSED - PINK SLIP ONLY!

Sept 26 - PAL departure - MNL-LAX

NOV 23 - Church wedding

AOS

Jan 30 2009 - AOS with EAD and AP submitted to Chi, IL

Feb 4 - check cleared

Feb 10 - AOS, EAD, AP NOA1 received!

Feb 19 - Biometric appointment letter received

Feb 28 - Biometrics schedule

Mar 28 - AP and interview invitation received by mail

Apr 2 - EAD card recieved

May 15 - Interview Schedule - APPROVED!

Jun 25 - GREEN CARD RECEIVED ON MAIL Dated June 16

pls check here for the poverty guidelines: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1327.html

usually if your petitioner's ITR is above the poverty guideline they will not ask for any additional document other than copy of ITR... but just in case just bring everything you have. As has always been repeatedly mentioned on this board: It is always better to be over prepared than under prepared.

If possible have originals of EVERYTHING you can on hand at the interview. May not need any but sure is nice if they are asked for.

You NEVER know what a CO wants to see.

CO may not be "going by the book" but no matter as they are your GOD for the day!

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

thank you guys. thank u d bears for always helping me. actually haole, thats also my point of view.. though it was not specifically listed on the embassy website. i feel its needed to be on my hand during the interview.

i just want to make sure. thank you so much.

yes, in this type of journey, its better to be over prepared than to have doubts.

my fiance sent me photocopies of his ITR, W2. while the I134 is an original copy, notarized also. the prescreener didnt give me a hard time for giving him just photocopies of the ITR and W2. i was giving him the letter from my fiance's employer and payslips but he said that I134, W2 and form 1040 (ITR) are enough. but it's still a case to case basis. as what has been said bring everything you can and if possible bring the original documents.
