I realized that my wife does not have any relatives living in the US

Then when asked by CO, tell them NO. My wife was asked this ? twice during the interview; she answered NO the first time, then the CO asked again, still NO answer replied. It was accepted; therefore no list of relatives listed under her 1st blue slip.

My lawyer told me they were asking for a lot of proof about ex-wives for some reason. I told him today i don't see why they do because personally i cant stand my ex and could care less where she is.lol he said they were requiring proof that you don't live together. Its BS if you ask me, but the consulate can pretty much do whatever they want i guess until someone tells them otherwise. i thought about just getting a statement from my landlord if they ask for anything from me that states i am only one who lives here.

I, too was very worried about them asking about my ex-wife, because I DID live with my ex-wife after we were divorced, up until 2 months before the interview. I was assured by Marc Ellis that they would ask about that and probably give us a blue slip. I spent a lot of time getting all kinds of letters and evidence. They did not ask anything about it during the interview. I guess there's a first time for everything. Most do get asked, though. None of their business, if you ask me.

I agree. I could really care less where my ex lives, and i don't know why it matters to them. i want to get some evidence to prove she doesnt live with me. what is best to get? letter from my landlord saying i am only one who lives at my residence?

That would be good if it was notarized but it would be better to show an unbaised third party proof such as her gas bill. Also a notarized letter from her saying she doesn't live with you would definitely satisfy the Consulate. Of course that's assuming they ask about your exwife.

we haven't lived together for almost 4 years and have been divorced for almost 3 years. i was thinking they may ask for the proof we don't live together if the divorce was pretty recent. any thoughts?

I am not an immigration lawyer, so this isn't legal advice, but I'd say you've got nothing to worry about if you've been apart for that long.

You never know for sure about this Consulate but I think you're divorce is far enough in the past that the Consulate won't be interested in it. It's still good that your fiancee knows about it because they could ask about that just to test her knowledge of you and your past. Someone here posted about a fiancee who didn't know her fiance had been divorced. He didn't want to tell her because he thought she'd be unhappy and suspicious of him. That caused them not to be approved...... Her not knowing that made the Consulate believe their relationship was fraud.
