I've never heard of putting salt on watermelon and it sounds gross. I don't even like watermelon anyway...

I know people who put chili powder on fruit and say it's good. I doubt it.

so for the people who eat it with salt.. why do you put salt on it?

I was reading that supposedly the salt makes a bland watermelon taste sweeter..

Sounds really strange when one can just buy a "sugarbaby" watermelon if one wants a sweeter taste.
well, they might not have access to those..
Eh, they're just as easily available as the regular--just pricier (per lb).

We don't have sugarbaby watermelons round my way, so Marilyn's comment was perfectly acceptable - certainly not worthy of a rofl smilie. ;)
