I applied my SSN before I got married I was in k1 visa then after I got my EAD we applied it again in to married name. But until now I haven’t received it yet it almost a month now. Is it okay if I will apply for a job even I still not receive my SSN into married name I still have my old SSN, which my maiden name thanks in advance!!!

09/28/08-green card received

1-751

07/02/10-mailed it 2day

07/06/10-they received my application forms

07/13/10-received notice receipt(gc extended for one year)

07/28/10-received biometric appointment

09/23/10 GC approved!!!

9/26/20 Gota pproval notice

10/01/10 GC receivedd

thank you because I really want to apply job as soon as I can, need to help my husband for our baby!!!

SSA actually advises you to go back to their office if you didn't receive your new card after 3 weeks. Go to the office where you filed the name change and let them know that you have been waiting. They will see what's going on and they might make another application for you. It happened to me before and I had to wait for more than 1 month.
