I finally received Packet 3 yesterday and faxed it back to the U.S. embassy.

I already made an appointment with an appointed hospital.

So, my question is what is packet 4?

Also, can I alreaedy make an interview appointment?

Thank you

Hi Nao,

In the UK, packet 4 is just the letter giving you the interview date.

Hi L&P. Thanks a lot for your reply. :star:

So, do we request an interview date or do U.S. embassy assign us an interview date?

Thanks

Nao

Not sure how it works in your country...not all embassies work the same way....try posting under the Asia Forum...someone from same country as you should be able to answer you about that

In Japan, there's no packet 4 actually. Well, you might call the interview request confirmation "packet 4".

Regarding interview request, if you already prepared I-134 related document, you can go ahead. Police certification takes about 2 weeks, medical report takes a few days. If you feel OK with your plan to complete all the documentation by a certain date, then make a request for the week of the day via embassy site. I did that.

Wow, K & W, you got lucky :) (Or we were just unlucky) My husband had to wait until he had the police cert and medical exam results in hand before he could even make the interview appt. They said too many people were making appts in advance that didn't have completed documents in hand and they'd have to reschedule, wasting everyone's time. I say to try and make the appt in advance if possible. Good luck

u2rsobad, your husband keeps the rule, that's Japanese virtue! I like it! :innocent: The embassy site say that you are supposed to request after you complete documents. But technically, you can make a request whenever you want. In February, the request form does not check the evidence. B)
