Hello again people, this question is prolly not in the right forum so if it isnt, mods move it please.

I was just wondering if the spouse of a USC has a desirable job, does it effect the speed of visa approval process?

I don't think the government cares what job you do (legal jobs that is). All they care about is collecting your tax money and fees for your petition.

The answer to your question is, no. And, just to be aware, if you have a job that falls into a technical or scientific field, then you may need to undergo additional security checks after your interview. My husband, who is a chemist, had two months of additional checks.

PM me if this is indeed the case, and I can provide you with more detailed information on what you can provide at the interview etc.
