After all this reading there were no pictures to look at, I'm disappointed

I was in quite a funk the day I met my new gf. We went across town to the El Prado section of Barranquilla where life flows more smoothly, and went to see the new Pixar film "Wall-E". Here is the theatre. A guard did not allow me to photograph many more photographs due to the political situation (read: "Civil War") going on in Colombia. Nevertheless, I was able to snap this photo in a crowded, afternoon at the mall:

From that same mall, you could see the Magdalena river and the prosperous section of city down below:

This happened to a good friend's sister here in the L.A. area. Exactly 3 yrs. to the day, he moves out of their home (near Los Angeles), visa in hand, leaves his SO, has a job, some decent English-speaking skills, and has a brand-new girlfriend. Yes, this can happen, and it happened to a very nice woman that I know. I feel bad for her, for her daughter, for her entire family.

I questioned Leidys about exactly what she wanted, her intentions, and why she couldn't just find herself a man in Barranquilla. Her responses sounded exactly like why my friend Chris' wife Miriam wouldn't waste her time in Tijuana, Mexico with the men there. She watched her mother toil with 5 children, and a husband who fled to the United States looking for a better life on his own. Leidys told me about men in Barranquilla who would get paid on Fridays, get drunk on Rum that night, and blow their entire paychecks by Sunday evening on booze and whatever vice they could come across there in town.

Chris and Miriam and the entire blended family in their Ford Explorer on the mean streets of Tijuana Mexico.

I had to pull the photos of the ladies when people started being disrespectful about my friend Blanca from the restaurant. It bothered me so much to read the things people were saying about her. Not cool. No respect. So, I yanked the photos...Thank the a@@holes for that.
