I friggin love this thread. It is so entertaining. Haven't had that at VJ in quite a while.

I think we're pretty much set on the Backstreet Boys for the Soundtrack of the movie or telenovela, right?

I'd love to hear from Ken again and see if this 104lbs women (however he knows that but I guess he's a pro when it comes to the ladies) is really the love of his life and if Maria can get the paperwork lined up fast enough.

That and if the USCIS will mess with him or not.You know how they are.

This thread is a trip 1/2.

May 7,2007-USCIS received I-129f
July 24,2007-NOA1 was received
April 21,2008-K-1 visa denied.
June 3,2008-waiver filed at US Consalate in Panama
The interview went well, they told him it will take another 6 months for them to adjudicate the waiver
March 3,2009-US Consulate claims they have no record of our December visit, nor Manuel's interview
March 27,2009-Manuel returned to the consulate for another interrogation(because they forgot about December's interview),and they were really rude !
April 3,2009-US Counsalate asks for more court documents that no longer exist !
June 1,2009-Manuel and I go back to the US consalate AGAIN to give them a letter from the court in Colon along with documents I already gave them last year.I was surprised to see they had two thick files for his case !

June 15,2010-They called Manuel in to take his fingerprints again, still no decision on his case!
June 22,2010-WAIVER APPROVED at 5:00pm
July 19,2010-VISA IN MANUELITO'S HAND at 3:15pm!
July 25,2010-Manuelito arrives at 9:35pm at Logan Intn'l Airport,Boston,MA
August 5,2010-FINALLY MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 23,2010-Filed for AOS at the International Institute of RI $1400!
December 23,2010-Work authorization received.

I arrived at our meeting place at 1:30 this afternoon. Across the street from the Cathedral. Leidys and I chose this location every time we met. I was asking myself, ¨Is she what I want and need just on the backside of my relationship with Onelis?¨ Just then, the motorcycle rolled up with this tiny 5ft2 inch 104 pound woman on the back. She pulled off her helmet, and what I saw was this beautiful, petite woman. She is all mine - if I want her. Today, she was dressed nice and femine - not the typical ¨Sporty Spice¨sweat outfits, but she really went to the effort, and I noticed. I looked her up and down as we traveled into Downtown where I could get my Zune MP3 player repaired at http://www.shadday.com The player was stripped down, repaired, and reassembled - just like in the factory. Leidys waited patiently while this work was performed.

A homeless-looking man had become angry at the resident dog that patrolled the downtown marketplace. This man raised a chair at the dog, and a crowd surrounded the man - shouting, and later kicking and beating the man as they laughed and the dog barked violently. Leidys thought this was funny, I was scared for the homeless mans life as punches were hurtled, and he was kicked, leaving him no other option but to run from this impromptu mob. I held my camera in hand, but I didn´t want to watch, let alone video this event. The MP3 player was complete, money was paid, and we were now returning to my hotel where I would drop off the Zune, my new CDs I bought, and was now able to change into a nice, fresh shirt. We headed into the El Prado section of Barranquilla where our destination became ¨Beirut¨due to all of the current road construction. There at the table, I realized how comfortable I had become with Leidys.

A shy, diminutive woman, she now began to really talk. We discussed my relationship with Onelis and how this situation still caused me some pain. I won´t lie. While watching the Backstreet Boys video online this morning, I couldn´t believe how real the lyrics were to my past relationship. But, despite the pain, I realized the mourning of this now dead relationship would take some time. Time will give me the strength to move past this. I still want my Costeña, and Leidys and I feel very comfortable together. Of course, there is time to think things over from my home, and with phone calls and emails, I will know exactly where this stands in my life, but I began to really look Leidys over - top to bottom to see if she was exactly what I wanted. Later, as we walked out of the bar ¨Sweet Chalet¨, I spied a lone man drinking and staring Leidys up and down - that´s when I knew I belonged with this woman, and no one else would have her.

Our taxi ride was a quiet one. Not easy by any means. Leidys wanted to know exactly when I would call her on the phone. Nine o clock. Leidys doesn´t realize I plan to take photographs with the entire hotel staff - my new family away from home. I hope to have everything taken care of before 9 a.m. If I get a seat on the plane I hope to be home that same evening. If I get bumped, I will hope for Friday night or Saturday. Then, Leidys will get a phone call and perhaps a personal visit. Onelis will never know my plans. What will be best will be to try to forget about her. As Maria stated, ¨I needed someone at my own level.¨ Jesus revealed today that he is only 16 yrs. old, but that he has ¨Lots of experience¨ for his age. His words summed up my 1 week quest here in Barranquilla. ¨It is very hard to find a nice woman here in Barranquilla. If you found her, you better hold on to her. Because, everyone looks, but nobody seems to find.¨

Why did she think it was funny? A man being beaten! And then you "became comfortable with Leidys"!!! Ken I think it is definately time you returned home.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

i met my OH on a trip to the states, and I knew after only a few days that we were serious about each other. HOWEVER, it was a looooong time later when we started petitioning for visas.

This BS is most likely a mills and boon, but on the off chance that it's real - wow. I figured out that everythings nicer on holidays when I was, oh i don't know... 16. This is not real life. This is a fantasy.

If the weather in Colombia is anything like the weather in Calcutta, changing into a fresh shirt is a very nice and memorable experience.

So are showers....

and after a shower you would put on a clean shirt... you wouldn't want to put the same smelly stinky one yo had on before your shower ...lol
