Mom and I sat down for a nice dinner. She had breaded Catfish, I had Grilled Shrimp on a skewer and Mahi Mahi. It was a nice, quiet Birthday with the special woman who brought me into the world. Thanks, VJ.

My Father used to go into a rage when I played my Punk music back in 1981-83. It made him really upset/angry. Now, I laugh about those old times and listen to those old songs to remind me of growing up with nothing to worry about, no problems on my mind... Mom didn't mind the sweater, and even wore it! haha

Packet 3 is now in Bogotá, and Leidys & I are preparing to see each other again for the Interview.

I stopped by Mom's house this morning to tell her the good news about our Packet being emailed

to Bogota. Just like in this picture, she is consumed by her memories, but she is also remodeling

her kitchen for Leidys to visit every day while I am at work.

We're expecting to have our interview in the next 4 weeks. I'm just having fun, enjoying life, but waiting for the interview (on pins and needles). Leidys and I want everything to work out, so we can be together. So, what does a lonely bachelor do while his fiance is 3,500 miles away???

Question for VJ: I leave for Bogota in roughly 1 week. I have been told, no URGED to not send Leidys away with her real engagement ring for fear that it could be stolen, yanked, etc. from her.

Anyone want to weigh in? I found a 14K White Gold ring w/1 Carat Diamond at a wholesaler in the O.C. for $600.00 I want the very best for Leidys, but I also have these very real concerns. Any opinions?
