It has been exactly 3 weeks since I have heard from my fiancee. We didn't have any fights, arguments, problems that were tugging at the relationship. The last day we had spoke, she had been sick with food poisoning, her father had to be sent to the hospital due to some serious bug that was attacking him, making him sick and in bed for over 4 days, and her mother was also sick, but was mobile.

To say this has been eating me up would be an understatement. I love this woman, and I don't know anything - what is happening, if she is just busy trying to help the family, if she got second thoughts and decided to hold off on the Packet 3 materials...

So, I hired a documentation administrator named Maria to help me find out what is going on. Later this week, I will get word on if Onelis is at home, moved, sick, busy, etc. Once again, pins and needles BIGTIME. I hope there is good stuff to tell everyone here at VisaJourneys, so I'll keep you posted when I find out what is happening.

PRAYERS BEING ACCEPTED.... :crying:

Hello Ken,

I think you need to be realistic and face the facts. There is NO GOOD REASON why your fiance' could not contact you...by e-mail, snail mail or a short phone call. Being busy is no excuse....nor is having no money. There is always money for important things....and YOU should be one of the MOST IMPORTANT THINGS IN HER LIFE!!!

You need to read my posting and see what happened to me. Wake up my friend.

Sincerely,

Captain Craig

I just ate a whole bag of popcorn and didn't even notice  . This thread is very entertaining.

@Ken: Have you ever thought that all those ladies might smile at you not because you are such a handsome stud but because they think you've got plenty of money? Apparently for them, you're the rich guy from America and they want out there. I wouldn't just jump into relationships like that, you are going to get disappointed over and over and over again. Good luck.

Probably true, but give us the deatils of all your dissapointments!

you do not seem to be looking for a meaningful relationship however, but rather a trophy wife, whom perhaps you hope will then magically become the perfect wife and mother.

i hope you cover your back when it comes to your current situation, and while it might be love, are you ok with dealing with the fact that it's partly based on you being an amreekan as well? sorry if im assuming too much, but that is how the situation appears to me...

Hey, you can't blame me for wanting to make this thread a little interesting...do you? I'm not interested in a trophy bride. With Orange County just a 30 min. drive down the 91 Fwy, Tropies are close at hand.

What I had been looking for was simply a mirage. That mirage folded in July when I visited Onelis. She explained to me that she was not interested in leaving Barranquilla. She said, "At first, it was love, but I'd rather be friends." I was stunned. Beyond words. Hit with a ton of bricks.

gakkai.jpg

After my resistance to joining a cult, and not giving in to peer pressure from the ex-wife and her family, I set out to do exactly what her uncle had done - take the K-1 route.

My passion was to visit Colombia. Being a big music geek, I knew I would also get a chance to learn more about the culture in this part of the world. But just barely 1 year after introducing myself to Onelis (and 1 month total time in Barranquilla), I saw this relationship fall apart.

Maria visited Onelis' home, and initially spoke with Onelis - asking the simple question: "Do you love Ken?" She told me that she got a funny feeling from Onelis, but she didn't tell me this until I was sitting in her apartment, talking about the whole situation. I told Maria that I was disappointed by the whole way this sort of thing worked. Chatting, Emailing, Quick visits - too much chance for getting led on. I didn't need this sort of thing, and I was ready to take the next plane back to Los Angeles instead of being put through more waiting, anticipating, hoping, b.s.. foreign_screen.jpg

I sometimes wonder which is worse - The ex-wife's cult, or the foreign bride agency?

Maria asked me to contact more "Chicas." I told her, "Maria, you're crazy. I don't want anything more to do with the agencies. I'm getting my luggage, and calling the airlines for an early flight home." I also then realized that I was in Northern Colombia - the coolest place for Cumbias. The only place outside of Spain with a Cafe Del Mar nightclub! cafe_del_mar_the_best_of_compiled_by_jose_padilla1.jpg

I did what Maria said, and I mailed out 3 emails to 3 seperate chicas. All but one had been off-line. The one who was on-line was one that I thought would be interesting to meet. I was in so much turmoil that I really wasn't in the mood for meeting anyone, but I also hated being on vacation, and not going out with someone nice. Leidys wrote me back, and my thinking was, "What do I have to lose?" :innocent:

I triple-checked to make sure Onelis wasn't going to work out, and I shut the door - eventually telling her to, "Leave me in peace." I miss her family to this day. But, I have grown to strongly dislike the type of woman Onelis represents around the world - the needy, non-ethical opportunist.

Good Gawd...ok...as a new fan I did as I was told and read the entire story. (Glad to see that L is "ok" and the nasty O didn't try to hurt her...)

So, wait..does that statement above mean we're about to do a prequel or is that a typo on the 2008? Inquiring minds and aching mouse hand want to know... :luv:
