This thread is the perfect example why multiple-partner marriages/civil unions should be legal. I'd love to read the story of Ken bringing 3 or 4 of these Latina hotties with him to America.

I can see the opening sequence.. Ken lands at an airport somewhere in Latin America and a group of busty Latinas with perfect butts in string bikinis who clean at the airport abandon their duties to follow him around, purring ay papi, while they vie for his attention....

I´m back at the hotel. Here´s a recap on my trip.

I leave Thursday morning - early. So, tomorrow is my last full day. My plans are to look for CDs and DVDs (music-related only), and just soak in the atmosphere, possibly one last time. This evening, I spent at Marias house. Maria told me about her life, the lives of her clients who have come to Colombia searching for, ¨Love¨and the different things they tend to find.

The Cast:

Ken - VJ Member from Southern California

Onelis - exFiance from Barranquilla

Maria - Administrative Visa Assistant from Barranquilla

Leidys - new ¨friend¨ from Barranquilla

Viviana - sister of Toñio - looking for ¨friendship¨, possibly more...

Toñio - Bellhop at Hotel in Barranquilla

Stefanie - younger sister of Onelis

Jesus - young 20-something Rap Producer originally from Cuba

After lunch, I went to the Internet Cafe where I visited with Jesus. We talked a bit, I called Leidys on the phone, and she was reading, as rain began to fall in her town of Soledad, just south of Barranquilla. I told her that I would talk to Maria, and we would arrange something after I leave Marias home office. It was already 3:15 when I called Maria. Our plans were for me to meet with her at 4:30 p.m. at her place. Change of clothing and shower, now I´m ready.

I quickly packed away my Puerto Peñasco, Mexico t-shirt - covered in Onelis´ makeup. I will save this for how ever long I decide to save it. Out the door, into the steam-bath air of Barranquilla.

The taxi cab driver found Maria´s home after driving the wrong-way on a one-way street. I paid my 6,000 pesos ($3.50) cab fare, up to the 3rd floor, and I was greeted by this really friendly woman who spoke perfect English - making me feel like I was back home again.

The interior of Maria´s home appeared bare. As a photographer, she explained that without her equipment which had been stolen, she chose not to place anything on her walls. Instead, textured hues of yellow covered some of the walls while the entryways into the rest of her apartment were just above 6 feet, my height. I joked that her house reminded me of a midgets home. Maria laughed saying, ¨But I´m short, so its´fine!¨ Maria laid it out like this - She didn´t quite understand Onelis´motives. Everything seemed strange. She could have possibly had another man in town, someone her family did not approve of, but they liked me better. Or, she was ready to fail by moving someplace where she didn´t quite understand the language, culture, etc. Or, she might never wanted anything more than friendship. Who knows, but I am so

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I arrived at our meeting place at 1:30 this afternoon. Across the street from the Cathedral. Leidys and I chose this location every time we met. I was asking myself, ¨Is she what I want and need just on the backside of my relationship with Onelis?¨ Just then, the motorcycle rolled up with this tiny 5ft2 inch 104 pound woman on the back. She pulled off her helmet, and what I saw was this beautiful, petite woman. She is all mine - if I want her. Today, she was dressed nice and femine - not the typical ¨Sporty Spice¨sweat outfits, but she really went to the effort, and I noticed. I looked her up and down as we traveled into Downtown where I could get my Zune MP3 player repaired at http://www.shadday.com The player was stripped down, repaired, and reassembled - just like in the factory. Leidys waited patiently while this work was performed.

A homeless-looking man had become angry at the resident dog that patrolled the downtown marketplace. This man raised a chair at the dog, and a crowd surrounded the man - shouting, and later kicking and beating the man as they laughed and the dog barked violently. Leidys thought this was funny, I was scared for the homeless mans life as punches were hurtled, and he was kicked, leaving him no other option but to run from this impromptu mob. I held my camera in hand, but I didn´t want to watch, let alone video this event. The MP3 player was complete, money was paid, and we were now returning to my hotel where I would drop off the Zune, my new CDs I bought, and was now able to change into a nice, fresh shirt. We headed into the El Prado section of Barranquilla where our destination became ¨Beirut¨due to all of the current road construction. There at the table, I realized how comfortable I had become with Leidys.

A shy, diminutive woman, she now began to really talk. We discussed my relationship with Onelis and how this situation still caused me some pain. I won´t lie. While watching the Backstreet Boys video online this morning, I couldn´t believe how real the lyrics were to my past relationship. But, despite the pain, I realized the mourning of this now dead relationship would take some time. Time will give me the strength to move past this. I still want my Costeña, and Leidys and I feel very comfortable together. Of course, there is time to think things over from my home, and with phone calls and emails, I will know exactly where this stands in my life, but I began to really look Leidys over - top to bottom to see if she was exactly what I wanted. Later, as we walked out of the bar ¨Sweet Chalet¨, I spied a lone man drinking and staring Leidys up and down - that´s when I knew I belonged with this woman, and no one else would have her.

Our taxi ride was a quiet one. Not easy by any means. Leidys wanted to know exactly when I would call her on the phone. Nine o clock. Leidys doesn´t realize I plan to take photographs with the entire hotel staff - my new family away from home. I hope to have everything taken care of before 9 a.m. If I get a seat on the plane I hope to be home that same evening. If I get bumped, I will hope for Friday night or Saturday. Then, Leidys will get a phone call and perhaps a personal visit. Onelis will never know my plans. What will be best will be to try to forget about her. As Maria stated, ¨I needed someone at my own level.¨ Jesus revealed today that he is only 16 yrs. old, but that he has ¨Lots of experience¨ for his age. His words summed up my 1 week quest here in Barranquilla. ¨It is very hard to find a nice woman here in Barranquilla. If you found her, you better hold on to her. Because, everyone looks, but nobody seems to find.¨
