It worked, didn't it? She took off, never to be heard from again!! :P

No, it didn't. I just decided my life was much more important than reading this thread. Like everyone else on this board should do so it'll fall off the face of the earth. And I hate to tell you, I'm way outta your league Ken. You think those Colombian girls are tough. You don't want none of this country girl.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

Ken bro,

Daniel

:energy:

I am very happy with my Colombian born and raised woman, very honest, hard working woman, family first, unselfish, plus the very strong platonic and physical attraction we have. I love my in-laws in Colombia, even my mother-in-law. Unfortunately the drug stigma is upon them when coming here so are faced with major searches, now that is stereotyping to the nth degree.

Ironically we only had one disagreement regarding the USA involvement with Panama, but we agreed to do a net search using British reports on exactly what did happen. Her history books showed that the USA stole Panama from Colombia. Failed to mention the USA already had a treaty with Colombia to build a railroad and during that time, Colombia was in a state of civil war, the USA had to honor the treaty France made with Colombia and only sent one small US ship, forgot the name of it to prevent rebels from killing US workers, purely a defense move on our part. We were an honorable country, once. We did honor our agreement with Panama to give it back, but the Panamanians are letting the canal go to hell trying to make a killing off of it.

Anyway, for this one instance, we have peace in our family again.

Was disappointed our trade agreement didn't go through with Colombia, was interpreted by our congress that we would lose more American jobs. We are importing roses and coffee from Colombia, tariff free, but in walking the streets, all US goods, a lot of time were 30% higher than here. Taxes are much lower, don't have a huge military to support, but do have a high share of poor, but honest people. Mother-in-laws home was built like a fortress with bars on the windows requiring three keys to open the front door, and a watchman kept me awake at night by blowing a whistle every seemingly 15 minutes to let the neighborhood know he was still awake. Ha, my mother-in-law and wife never heard that, use to it I guess. I didn't feel a trade agreement with Colombia would hurt this country, but would help it instead to ease the burden on my in-laws.

Against the will of my wife and mother-in-law, did go for long walks, no problems when you are friendly with other people, but my tiny wife felt she should be with me to protect me. The worse part of the trip was dealing with US immigration when coming back.

Haven't been following this old post and way too much to read, did the original poster find his gal? Hey the food in Colombia was great, very American, and the coffee, wow!

Seriously !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you don't enjoy the thread, you shouldn't post to it. Then, it will go away...peacefully.

I broke up with Onelis. She quit talking with me, and I was very upset. I was in love with her, and not hearing from her made me worry about the people living in her barrio - possibly attacking her family or something. I was very upset. My nerves were driving me crazy. So, I decided to fly to Barranquilla and visit.

Onelis was so insincere when she explained how she didn't want to be w/me anymore. How she couldn't learn English if she moved to the US, and how she would miss her family. In 3 months, so much had changed for the worse - just after asking me for some financial support in late May.

Question: Did I ever meet anyone in Colombia?

Answer: Yes! Her name is Leidys, and while I was in Barranquilla, I spent roughly 1 week with her. We noticed how much we had in common, but the timing wasn't very good. I was still so sad about missing Onelis, but I realized it was over, and that I had to move on. In December, I am happy to be returning to visit Leidys and to meet her family.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
