UPDATE: Jesus Smith lost his Internet Cafe business in Barranquilla. Due to a slowdown in clientele, he couldn't cover his overhead, so he closed the doors to, "Nice Space." He is now looking at returning to Cuba to attend college, and see where life takes him.

Caesar attempted to contact me via Messenger. He's Onelis' good friend who put her information together for the Loveme.com people. The guy is bad news, but I won't get into that over a public forum.

My petition to end my petition with Onelis is slowly changing hands. I still plan to visit with Leidys in December for 2 weeks. We talk regularly thanks to $5 Extra Extra calling cards ( .02 per minute!).

My 4WD Camping event in Baja, Mexico happens in approximately 6 more weeks. T-shirt designs are being worked on and revised. Some photography I produced in June while Onelis quit talking to me has been finally published in Dirt Sports Magazines' October 2008 issue (page 24) - on newsstands now!

B.S.??? No, I don't think so. Jealousy on your part? That would be true!

Jesus did lose his Internet shop. He is at home, looking for some sort of job until he returns to Cuba where he grew up. There, education is free...for him. So, why not?

Leidys told me about a riot in her barrio that happened there this afternoon. Scores of adolescents were pelting each other with rocks. The rocks made their way into the street where the bus traveled, and at one point, Leidys feared for her life as someone across the street from Leidys shouted, "Run! Run!" Suddently, a teenager ran past Leidys and attacked another young man who was standing behind her. She thought she was the target. After running home for a short while, she went to the Internet cafe to check for my emails. She spotted three. While she was there, shouting took place near the front door of the Internet cafe, and the door had to be locked with all of the clients being locked inside (Leidys included). Things died down moments later, and she safely made her way back home without incident. Police scoured the region near the Barranquilla prison, and the unrest was shut down by 8 p.m. local time.

What this illustrates is how dangerous certain parts of the globe are. Because I am bilingual, I can communicate with people in this town, and report back exactly what is happening. I don't care if you think my story is B.S. If you don't like it, then, don't read it. Stay the F*u@ off of my thread.

We had our first 4x4ing trip this weekend on the Big Island. When we arrived at our destination, I explained to my husband about your thread and this whole ordeal.
