Your household size includes you and your spouse, which equals to 2. BUT if you are using a co-sponsor and you live with him/her, one or both of your parents for example, then the household size is you, your spouse, and 1 or both of your parents, which would equal to 3 or 4.

So it includes co-sponsors in the household size? I thought co-sponsors were there to help cover the requirements for the 2 adults (or more if children, ete).

Also, if a couple lives with the parents of one of them, I don't see why the parents wuold be included in the household size, which refers to the petitioner, immigrant, and any other dependents.

Parents or other relatives living with the sponsor/petitioner and immigrant are not included in the household size UNLESS they are the co-sponsors.
