OK, I just want to review everything I have prepared for the interview before I head out to Thailand in 2 days to be with her. Please let me know if I'm forgetting anything so I can stop freaking out and if I am forgetting anything, then at least I have 2 days to get it together. I know this is a bit long, but please... help a brother out. And if I got it all correct, then it's good reference for the rest of you who are about to be in the same position.

Receipt for engagement ring and other jewelry I've purchased for her (plus she'll be wearing it)

Signed and Notarized updated letter of intent to marry

previous itineraries and hotel receipts with our names on them from the last 2 visits together plus current itinerary including her ticket to the USA

Proof we will marry once here within 90 days:

You sound very well prepared. We are getting the file prepared for the K-3 interview, so this is a helpful checklist, with alterations, of course. He flies to Bangkok on the 8th. I wish your and your fiance well on the interview.

For the interview does the petitioner need to be present? Also are all of these documents necessary to take to interview? Thanks.

Ghorabaa, I think it depends on what consulate you are going to. I believe that some allow it, but some don't...

If you can make it, I would go. It's not necessary and true at some embassies you're not allowed in. BUT, I have read a few VJ members who've been turned down at the interview and told that the USC needs to be interviewed too.

If it's a hardship, then don't worry about it but I'd prepare in the back of my mind for plan B just in case.

3/5/11 sent LOC paperwork

3/9/11 date of NOA

?/?/?? biometrics appointment

Sounds great to me too! Just ensure that everything is presented in an orderly fashion to make it easier for you to find specific documents, then relax. Everything will be okay as long as you remain calm at the interview and answer their questions to the best of your ability.
