I don't know where to post this, so I'll put it in OT for now.

I'm just wondering if it's weird of me that I don't stress over whether or not we'll get approved, P will be denied entry, the AOS will go ok, etc.

I mean, at first I was worried because we have an age difference, but then I just had this feeling that everything would be ok. But I have read so many threads on here about worries and stresses and I have to wonder if there's something wrong with me that I don't worry about all of this. Do others have this non-worry too, or I am the lone freak in a sea of blissful ignorance?

ETA: spelled "ignorance" wrong!!!

I worried too, but in the earlier stages when the application was at the mercies of the Mumbai consulate. Since she arrived, I haven't really worried at all. I've been frustrated/annoyed by the delays (after all, I am paying for the service, I'm not asking for a handout), but I've never actually been worried about denial since that time.

Oh good. I guess once we got the NOA2 my stress about the visa just left.

I was more worried about things like him getting all his thesis stuff done, getting everything organized, planning the wedding, etc.

I know we're a long way from being done with this but I guess if things didn't work out we'd just find a way to be together in Germany. Or Canada :)

Holy cow! How long have you been waiting, Jenn? :o

Well, it's only been a year since we started the process. We could have been together sooner if it wasn't for his grad school.

I was never very worried about the NOA2 either. I was painstakingly careful in preparing the petition and never really thought a denial of the petition by the VSC was a possibility.

I was worried about the application in Mumbai. DoS in India is unpredictable and basically fukced up and the thought of them being 'the deciders' in so many peoples lives is messed up.

Yeah, I guess the fact that I don't have to deal with Mumbai or Cairo or .... makes it easier for me.

And I don't mean to offend anyone who worries. I was just wondering if I was abnormal :)

Ah, ok. :) So he'll be here next month? Don't fret....just be excited that you two will be together before you know it.

What an excellent post.

I think we've all had our dark moments. Ours came when his adjustment was taking too long. Whenever you are not in control of your life, I think it causes stress.

I think a lot of how you feel depends on what you choose to believe and who you choose to talk to about it. Any of us can get ourselves in a black mood if we try hard enough.

I didn't worry at all. I was eerily calm, which is very strange for me. Jerry, on the other hand, was a basket case. :P

The most I have worried during this process was the most recent wait with my ROC, but even then it wasn't all that bad. I guess I have had way more stressful things happen in my life than immigration, so it was and has been manageable for me in the big picture.
