Hi everyone,

Finally, I have my AOS interview on August 20. I am curious, what kind of document should I bring in interview?? Please share your experinces.. Thanks.

Look around the forums there are tons of threads about what people took to their interviews.

bring evidences of bonafide marriage

during our AOS interview, we brought bank account statements, copy of car insurance, sworn statements from friends and photo album.. when IO asked for evidences, we presented the album but she barely looked at it..

anyway, bring as many documents as you can.. better to overprepare than not.. good luck!

Bring everything! Everything the letter asks for Exactly as it states.

Aslo you should have made copies of everything you submitted with your AOS package, bring those as well.

Pay stubs

Tax returns

Proof of employement

marriage certificate.

Legal ID's

Joint utiltiy or other proof of comingled life/funds

proof of birth of any children or proof of current pregnancy.

All NOA's received.

the Appt letter.

Pictures are useless,

e-mails between you & spouse are useless.

Follow instructions on the interview notice letter and BE Prepared.

When you get to the interview:

Be honest & direct with your answers but do not give more info than asked or needed.

You look down, they know you're lying and up, they know you don't know the truth. Don't use seven words when four will do. Don't shift your weight, look always at the IO.but don't stare, be specific but not memorable, be funny but don't make him laugh. He's got to like you then forget you the moment you've left the interview. And for God's sake, whatever you do, don't, under any circumstances...

sworn statements do not hold as much legitimacy as joint bills & joint accounts.

Comingling of fianances & co habitiability more important as proof of relation ship.

receipts from marriage or wedding/ engagement rings

just be prepared

Bring photos of the two of you before and after your marriage. We brought pay stubs, bills, lease and insurance info. Worked out fine. Be yourselves and try your best to relax; it will only help the DO to relax as well! Good Luck, and don't forget to write a review.

It wouldn't hurt for him to bring his most recent pay stub.

Also your most recent paystub too.

Don't forget to bring last couple years of Tax returns ( I hope you filed jointly)

we didnt get a chance to file Tax jointy. Coz she is in USA this feb, we can only file jointly for 2008 tax return that is next year.
