We're going to the Rapids soccer game where they'll be having an outdoor fest and then fireworks after the game. It's now a tradition of ours and we always have a blast.

We're going shooting!!!

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Already started today - went to Nash Farm Historic Site dressed in my Colonial re-enactment clothes to lend local colour to the Independence Day celebrations. Joined other re-enactors - and some actors portraying George and Martha Washington, John and Abigail Adams and Patrick Henry - as they enacted a little scenario with a troop of British redcoats. Tomorrow they will actually read the Proclamation of Independence. Lots of food vendors and demonstrators and fun. They'll finish off with fireworks tonight and tomorrow - didn't stay for them tonight as we are heading into Atlanta tomorrow to meet up with friends and watch the fireworks at Lennox Mall.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
